I'm André, a Berlin-based tattoo artist working with custom Blackwork in woodcut-inspired linework and mythological imagery. My designs draw from ancient myths, occult symbolism, folklore and the fine details of historical etchings.
Every tattoo starts with an idea and a drawing, developed into a piece made specifically for the person wearing it.
I focus on detail and work that stands apart from the ordinary.
I have a few tattoo appointments remaining for 2026. If you have a concept in mind or want to discuss a custom design, send me a DM with your ideas and location.

Follow @andre_harke for more tattoo designs, original drawings and dark Art.

These designs almost found a home,
then fate chose otherwise.

Now they return, for one final opening, at a special rate.

Weekends are often when I tattoo. For many of my clients, travelling to Berlin and sitting for a session on a Saturday or Sunday is simply more convenient. No need to take a Day Off work, just time set aside for something that will remain with them for a lifetime.

What is worth doing deserves the time it takes.
So I rather not go to a Party or concert, but provide the best Service for my Clients.

Do you prefer to keep your weekends for yourself, or do you use them to pursue what matters to you?

A dark tale of forbidden knowledge & black magic.

Krabat is rooted in Sorbian folklore, retold by Otfried Preußler.

Drawn in the language of old woodcuts, this piece brings a haunting tale into the skin.

For those drawn to ancient obscure folklore and the darker side of storytelling.

The raven has long been a symbol of prophecy, hidden knowledge and transformation. From Norse mythology and Odin’s ravens to occult folklore and medieval bestiaries, its dark imagery has inspired artists for centuries. taken in Berlin, Germany by @andre_harke

San Diego
First time in California. A road trip down the coast, ending in San Diego.

Spanish facades, monumental buildings, palm trees and reflections in the water. A city shaped by different histories, where old worlds and new ones meet, everything seems endless. Even the sunset. taken in San Diego, California by @andre_harke

A piece about duality and the space between different worlds.
Drawn and tattooed by hand, line by line, in my engraving and woodcut inspired style.
I’m currently booking new projects in Berlin. If you are drawn to occult symbolism, mythology, folklore and historical imagery, this is the kind of work I would like to do more of.
Custom ideas are welcome.

A knight, a sword, a chalice and an all-seeing sun.

I love turning old folklore and historical imagery into detailed black ink tattoos that feel timeless and still decorative. Every piece is drawn by hand, line by line, with the structure of engraving and woodcut in mind.

If this is your kind of tattoo language, I’m currently booking new projects in Berlin.

A few impressions from our California road trip, heading south from San Francisco.

The giant redwoods of Muir Woods, rugged cliffs, lighthouses, elephant seals, sea lions and Otters along the coast, long beaches and sunsets over the Pacific. The landscapes and wildlife have been incredible, and we keep finding reasons to pull over and take a closer look. taken in California by @andre_harke
