I never post to the grid so here are some precious moments of 2025. No list of achievements here, just thankful for friends, seeing the world, and making art. 1. The last Poetics of Encryption at Galeria Rudofinium in Prague thx to the OG Nadim. @nadim.samman 2. Museum of Sex in New York where I was part of the Higher Love: The Psychedelic Roots of Modern Sexuality and had an excellent week in the city with my lil bro and sis in law. @museumofsex 3. Paris for the Jeu de Paume exhibition The World Through AI where my parents got to see my work in a museum for the first time. @jeudepaumeparis 4. My bff Dasha joined me in becoming British! @dasha.loyko.greer 5. Vienna Digital Cultures where I didn’t get enough pictures, but did take one in the club with Franco. @francomattes 6. Psychedelic Science 2025 🌀7. The 3 kids I’ve nannied for 9 years moved away from the city, but I got to spend extra special time with them. 8. Somerset House Studios and Tai Shani commissioned me to make an audio work for their Dream Radio. Tiiva created trippy sound and @the.aleph___ and @bert_gilbert_official did the voice acting for The Echo Chamber. @taishani 9. Swiss adventures with @ja_ak_rtgr @ry.deck @tinzs to see Giger10. Entrainment Protocol 00100 interactive performance with Side Quest for the Real in Geneva. The beast of a sculpture nearly killed my most excellent fabricator with over 300 hours of print time. @crsj88 @ftw_geneva 11. ✨ Thrilled to be one of the actors in RAPTURE, a hallucinatory and sharp-edged short film by Andrea Khôra — now on view at the Museum of Sex as part of their exhibition Higher Love: The Psychedelic Roots of Modern Sexuality.RAPTURE uses live footage and AI animation to explore the collision of psychedelics and capitalism. It’s been screened at museums across Europe — and its NYC March opening marks its U.S. debut. Both Andrea and I are from the States, though we currently live and work in London — a fact that has undoubtedly shaped our perspectives on the “psychedelic renaissance.”Our collaboration was sparked after MAPS 2023 — not at the event itself, but in its wake. Each of us was engaged in research or staging collaborative, performative interventions within the contested landscape surrounding the largest psychedelic conference in history — a locus for the so-called new psychedelic revolution.The exhibition itself draws on “hidden histories and marginalized stories — especially those of women — to illuminate how sexuality in the 21st century has been transformed by altered states.”As Jules Evans writes, this current psychedelic wave has been “much more starch and medicalized” than previous ones. Artists like Andrea (and, I hope, myself) are offering a cultural counterpoint — asking where pleasure, critique, and the poetics of experience still belong, and where they can lead. My own work moves at the intersection of performance and voice, somatic self inquiry, altered states, and Eros — making RAPTURE, and it's inclusion in the museum's Higher Love exhibition (on until Sept 2025) feel like a particularly charged meeting point of potent personal and political dialogue. "I think about the classic chimera/monster in Mary Shelley’s 'Frankenstein'-the first sci-fi story: The plot is that Victor Frankenstein, who came up with the monster, refused to recognize it as his son. He refused to bring it into his home and adopt it. And it was because Victor was unable to adopt it properly, or make kin with it, that the monster started to run amok and cause trouble in his world. This is the issue! Today, there’s a new monster created every millisecond by generative AI. There is an overwhelming generation of monsters, and we need to generate kinship just as fast! But trying to make kin with all this distortion runs a lot of risk. For instance, trying to make sense of the memescape and wrap it all up into something that you can live with breeds things like QAnon, which is the ultimate chimera of politics and meme culture! So it’s not a simple operation. It’s full of pitfalls. This is why this show [Poetics of Encryption] is not a prescription.
