Fall break was EVERYTHINGGGG 😩

I really love my family, and it’s so important to me that our kids grow up close and build genuine relationships with each other. I want them to always know they have family they can depend on.

We’re not just making memories, we’re building bonds that I pray last a lifetime. To me, this is what Christ has called family to look like — loving each other, showing up, staying connected, and sticking together.

I enjoyed every second with my family, my nieces, my nephews, and all our babies. My heart is full, and I’m already ready for the next oneeee 🤍🥹

Year S E V E N 🥂

Seven years in, and I am grateful for the love that has grown, stretched, and matured with us.

Marriage has taught us that love is not just something you feel. It is something you learn, protect, and choose with intention.

We have entered year seven with more understanding, more grace, and a deeper appreciation for what God has built between us.

What a privilege it is to sit in public and read the Word of God without fear. A freedom so many of us can easily take for granted, while many of our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world pay a much greater cost for openly following Him. There was a season where even the thought of running errands, homemaking, serving my husband, and caring for my children felt overwhelming.

But God changed my perspective.

I stopped letting my responsibilities become lord over my life and let Jesus be Lord over my life instead. As I surrendered my days to Him, He gave me the grace to walk in what He had already called me to.

Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with the ordinary.

Now I see motherhood differently. Not because it’s easier, but because Christ is with me in it. 🤍

One thing becoming a mother has taught me is that raising children has just as much to do with allowing God to raise you.

One of the first pictures our children have of Christ is through us. They watch how we love, forgive, repent, worship, serve, and respond when life gets hard. Long before they understand theology, they’re watching it lived out.

That reality has caused me to look inward. God has exposed unhealthy patterns, uncovered hidden triggers, and healed places I spent years believing were normal. Not because He’s trying to make me a perfect mother, but because I don’t want to pass down what He died to set me free from.

More than anything, I want to keep my ear close to the heart of God. I don’t want to raise my daughter from my opinions or my wounds. I want to raise her according to the heart of the One who created her.

Gonna start a thing ❤️ | I’m not putting the lesson in the caption because that’s what the video is for 💙 but I will TWO THINGS:

1) We don’t let the media or the people around us raise our kids. We start at HOME 🏡. “…As for me and my family, we will worship the Lord”- Joshua 24:15 CSB

Truly raising Godly children starts with rooting them in the foundation of God’s Word and making God’s Word relatable and applicable at an early age 👦🏽👧🏽👶🏽. Don’t wait. Start em early! ❤️‍🔥

2) Do the thing (you know what that thing is) and stop making excuses for why you won’t. What you’re doing is going to reach who it needs to reach and it’ll never reach anyone if you don’t do it.

Be authentic. Be consistent. Be obedient to God. Our value isn’t determined by likes and views and affirmation. It’s determined by who God says we are and how we deliver on what He says. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Do it beloved. by @andreaabaker__
