There are some journeys that stay with you because of what you have seen, the people you have met and the moments you carry in your heart.

My journey with Rachel House has been one of them.

For 20 years, I have watched this work grow while staying true to one purpose: making sure children living with serious illnesses receive the care, comfort and dignity they deserve, regardless of their circumstances.

What stays with me most are the moments that remind us what compassionate care can mean. A child feeling more comfortable. A family finding strength in a difficult moment. A seriously ill child who is able to still play, laugh, or simply be close to the people they love.

These moments remind me why children’s palliative care matters.

It is not about giving up. It is about helping a seriously ill child live each day with as much comfort and meaning as possible while supporting the family beside them.

This is what makes Rachel House so precious to me. For 20 years, its nurses have continued to be there for children and families who need them, bringing care into their homes and reminding them that they do not have to face this journey alone.

As we celebrate Rachel House’s 20th anniversary and Children’s Palliative Care Month in October 2026, I hope you will join me in carrying this work forward.

Together, we can help more seriously ill children find comfort, more families feel supported and more children have the chance to experience moments that matter.

Over the years, I have learned that some of the most meaningful forms of support are not
always the loudest.

Sometimes, it is simply about being there. That is what I see in the work and dedication of
Rachel House (@rachelhouseindonesia).

For 20 years, their nurses have been entering the homes of children living with serious
illnesses, supporting not only the children but also their families.

They bring care, comfort and dignity into moments that can be incredibly difficult.
And I believe we can all be part of that support. So today, I am not only asking you to donate.
