POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The first ABF Global Gathering brought together children and young people from different countries and cultures for ten days in Tuscany and Rome. But it was never meant to be an end in itself. ABF Voices Of continues today in the places they returned to, where the choirs are back to their everyday routines.
In Italy, Haiti, the Holy Land and Uganda, rehearsals have started again. The children and young people work with their music teachers and educators, share their daily lives, and gradually build trust and discipline. They are also learning to listen to one another. This is where the project finds its true meaning: not on grand stages, but in the everyday work.
Now the project is taking another important step: auditions have begun, welcoming new members into the choirs. Every voice carries a story, a heritage and a hope. That was the idea behind the first Global Gathering. Knowing that more stories will soon become part of ours is a wonderful sign that the project is growing, while continuing to care for everyone involved.

Today, October 5, on World Teachers’ Day, we celebrate those who, every day, listen to, guide, and inspire the younger generations with passion and dedication.

A special thank you to all ABF educators and atelieristas who, with dedication and passion, open new horizons in learning by putting technological innovation, art, and music at the service of education.

Because behind every talent that takes shape, there is always a teacher capable of bringing out the potential in every girl and every boy.

“For me, receiving The UNG Leading Ladies of Honor Award is both deeply moving and a source of immense gratitude. I share it with the entire ABF team.

Above all, I wish to acknowledge those who bring the Andrea Bocelli Foundation’s work to life every day, and especially the children, young people, families, and communities we have had the privilege of meeting over the years, often in contexts marked by significant cultural and socioeconomic challenges.

This work comes with a profound sense of responsibility. I believe its true purpose is to provide people with the tools and confidence to recognize their own worth, nurture their talents, and shape their own future. This lies at the heart of ABF’s mission, “Empowering people and communities,” and also reflects our understanding of social innovation: creating the conditions in which individuals and communities can grow, thrive, and fulfill their potential.

Education remains at the heart of this commitment and, as a woman and a mother, I feel particularly strongly about the legacy we leave to those who come after us. I receive this award with great joy, but also as an encouragement to continue our work and to strive, every day, to be worthy of the trust placed in us by the people we meet.”

2025 IN FIGURES

A year measured in numbers, but defined by people, communities and real impact.

Over €10,160,000 raised through fundraising activities.
7,554 people reached through ABF’s education programs.
3,120 hospitalized children involved in educational and creative activities.
7,360 hours of activities delivered by atelieristas.
Over 27,617,000 litres of water distributed over one year, reaching more than 400,000 people living in Haiti’s slums.

Behind every number, there are people, stories, places and new possibilities: thank you for being part of this journey.

The first ABF Global Gathering brought together children, young people and choir directors from Uganda, the Holy Land, Haiti, Camerino, and the Rione Sanità in Naples. Coming from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds, they had the opportunity to share daily life, connect with one another, and make music together.

It was a complex undertaking, prepared with the greatest care and brought to life through the extraordinary dedication of so many people, an effort rewarded by the joy of the young participants and the profound power of the experience they shared.

Music once again revealed its extraordinary power: transcending distances and borders, not by erasing differences, but by bringing them into dialogue and allowing them to find harmony.

I carry with me the joy of those days, together with the hope that what began there will take root and continue to grow in each young person’s home community.

Happy birthday, Andrea Bocelli!

Fifteen years ago, he chose to transform his love and gratitude for life into the daily work of the Foundation that proudly bears his name. Today, it is a joy to celebrate him alongside the children and young people who, thanks to that choice, are pursuing their education and building their own futures.

With all our affection and gratitude, we wish our Founder the happiest of birthdays, and many, many happy returns!

“The ringing of the school bell marks the beginning of a new year filled with encounters, discoveries, and growth. For the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, school is one of the most important places where every child can fulfill their potential, thanks to the shared commitment of students, families, teachers, and educators.

We wish them all a year filled with enthusiasm, confidence, and a willingness to embrace new challenges, as they help every young person discover who they can become.
Wishing everyone a happy new school year.”

“A charitable bequest to the Andrea Bocelli Foundation is a gesture that reaches beyond a lifetime. It continues to make a difference when our own time has come to an end, living on in the futures of children who will have the opportunity to study and nurture their talent. It is a choice I have made, and one I invite you to consider as well.”
