Great Photographer @maxtardio wanted his west coast on the walls of his now east coast, great shot he took of @qreeker from his younger days. Very talented, an honor to do a painting for him😎 #maxtardio #skatelife #paintingkeepsmehappy #skateordie #wearesolucky by @andreacoish

BEHIND THE SCENES WITH @andreacoish
______
We had the privilege of spending an afternoon in the magical world of local artist and friend, Andrea.
•
Her one-of-a-kind works - paintings on found objects - are some of the most treasured pieces at the store, her unofficial gallery. From driftwood and mirrors to vintage trays and shudders, she sees beauty in the forgotten and invites us to take a second (or third and fourth) look, to witness something more....
•
Her beautiful home and studio are a splendid display of treasures and perfect for a game of "I spy." She collects salty couples, art books, little statues, art that moves her, knickknacks, and, of course, lots of found objects for painting.

When asked about her local fame and must-have work, she graciously dodged the question and said she's most grateful for the chance to paint more and to play, and that having her pieces on display at @karl_the_store means people from all over can see them, enjoy them, and even bring one home with them. What a happy thought!

Not Random, Random. Thankful for this beautiful day, our home has a window that’s better than any screen and I find myself watching the seaside busy town for long peaceful stretches. So I share it. 😊 #sailboatpainting #paintingboats #seasidepainting #andreacoishart by @andreacoish
