As an actor, I’ve played every Asian stereotype known to man: schoolgirl, assassin, nail salon tech, assassin, math tutor, assassin, and what I’ve learned from leaning into these stereotypes is that sometimes you’ve gotta play the game to change the rules.

Do I still get nervous? Hell yeah, I do!

Over last two years, I’ve toured The Pole Shebang to six different festivals in Canada and Australia, and I’m about to embark on my seventh and eighth festivals in Sydney and Melbourne.

In every city I’ve travelled to, I’ve been met with extreme generosity & support from local pole dancers & studios, who have invited me into their homes, their communities; they’ve attended workshops, volunteered to sell merch.

And in every city there’s always been one amazing person who brings an X-Stage - because X-Pole really is everywhere!

So I don’t just get nervous about performing the show, I get nervous about approaching friends & acquaintances for massive favours. So to all the amazing pole dancers, studios, small business owners, and X-Pole themselves, I couldn’t have done it without you, and I can’t wait to see y’all at the show 🥰
