“Proclaimed, that as a duly elected member of the State Assembly of New York, I recognize that in Andrea Lucio Aragundy we have an outstanding individual, worthy of the esteem of both the community and the 30th Assembly District” 🤎

Thank you to assemblyman @ragaforqueens Steven Raga for this recognition. It was beautiful to meet other latine leaders in the city. From Queens and other boroughs, some born at Elmhurst Hospital (event pun 😏🤭) Special thanks to Elmhurst Hospital Executive Director @alina_slu1987 Alina Morán for hosting the event and creating space to celebrate the contributions our community makes to the betterment of all New Yorkers. taken in Elmhurst Hospital by @andrealucio

Why does fútbol matter so much to Ecuadorians? First off, it gives us joy, it’s the type of sport that really plays with what we are all about as people: the challenge, the unattainable odds that never make sense but somehow we are able to overcome any obstacle. I was part of 80k who witnessed what a group of 11 outstanding Ecuadorian young men can do. The rest of us back home or anywhere in the world have to uphold and honor their commitment, their discipline, their honor, their humbleness, and grit.

We got reminded what we are all made of.

My small tribute to my land which is the greatest inspiration and motivation for anything I do.

☀️ Summer Highlight! ☀️
This summer I was honored to be selected for the NALAC Leadership Institute 2025 in San Antonio, TX! 🌟
Alongside 13 incredible artists & cultural leaders from across the U.S., we deepened our commitment to advancing Latino, Latine & Latinx arts. My biggest takeaway? Building lifelong connections with this inspiring national community 💜
This experience reinforced my commitment to this field and to being united in challenging times that also bring opportunities. Juntos Somos Más Fuertes. ✨
Endless gratitude to the amazing @nalac_arts staff & faculty for trusting us with this honor, and to my brilliant cohort for the inspiration and courage you’ve given me. This experience will shape my work for years to come 🙌 #machucando ✊🏽 🫰🏽 😉 Dr @ramirezlost

Today, along with @radiant_radhiyah @raulayalart @cinthyasantosb and Emily Goldberg Hall at @africanservices we presented at the @nycmer annual conference 2025 to museum educators from all of NYC’s cultural and arts institutions. This year’s conference main topic was “Museum’s in Community”. Thanks to @elmuseo and all the communities involved, we were able to carry out Talk of the Town Artist in residency project last year. Special thanks to the committee who selected our project to be presented in front of a room filled with colleagues who put out so much into the world educating New Yorkers and people from all over the world at museums. It is truly another way of learning and building community. Finally thank you @filippa_christofalou for encouraging me to apply to present at the conference. taken in Teachers College, Columbia University by @andrealucio
