On today’s episode of Wholehearted Voice Pedagogy, early-career teaching artist Andrea Bush talks about passing on the sage advice she received during her training to her students. A beautiful example of how teaching wisdom lives on from one generation of artists to the next.

What’s a piece of advice from a teacher that has stayed with you?

This is 30!!

My 20s gave me a run for my money, but I did so many things I set out to do: finish undergrad, join a Broadway national tour, go back to school for *something* (just in case you didn’t know, I crave academic validation), continue living in and loving NYC, etc. I also did things these past 10 years that I didn’t intentionally set out to do that exceeded my wildest dreams. I surprised myself with a career addition of teaching college & entrepreneurial voice, met the love of my life, gained and hung out with my 3 beautiful nieces, made some amazing new besties as an adult, and continued to pursue creative endeavors outside of my profession... among so much else. I love life and I can’t wait to see what the next magical decade holds. 💖 by @andreamariebush

I’m so excited to introduce you to Andrea. 💛 @andreamariebush

Andrea is an incredible voice teacher, performer, and human, and I’m so proud to have her as my first Associate Teacher at KTD Voice. She brings a deep understanding of vocal technique, vocal health, and sustainable singing, along with real-world experience as a working performer and educator in NYC.

If you’re looking for voice lessons in NYC or online voice lessons, Andrea works with singers of all levels, from beginners to professionals, across musical theatre, pop, classical, and more. Her teaching centers around ease, expression, and building a healthy, reliable voice that you can trust.
If you’ve been thinking about starting voice lessons, or getting back into singing, this is such a supportive place to begin.

DM for more info, or click the Link in Bio to Book! I’d love for you to work with her. 💫

Back to school: teacher edition 👩🏻‍🏫

Absolutely thrilled to be joining the faculty at @newyorkfilmacademy as an adjunct voice instructor this fall, where I’ll be teaching incoming BFA and conservatory students in the musical theatre program. I’m equally fortunate to be part of a remarkable lineup of active industry professionals who work at NYFA. Cheers to what’s going to be a wonderful year! ✨ by @andreamariebush
