When Glenna approached me to work on her ‘The Girl Next Door’ Quilt I was honored and a little nervous. She gave me free rein to do whatever I wanted! This was my first time doing a totally custom quilting job. After doing some preliminary drawings on my iPad I knew I just had to start and this is what I came up with.

I quilted this top for a fellow guild member Ina. Her piecing is top notch and she wanted something wavy stitched over everything.

She doesn’t have a bed that will fit this quilt but I’m sure she won’t have any problem finding a home for it!

I needed a gift for @owenroutheut and @hanna_wrigley and didn’t have time to piece a top. So I made a whole cloth quilt instead.

It’s a nice lap size quilt to cuddle with on the couch or in Hanna’s case to use on the flight home to New Zealand.

I picked up this extra soft and plush blanket from @winners for the backing and used the #sprawlpanto from the @longarmleague for the quilting.

These flowers were such a nice surprise to come home to after a full days work. I’m happy to have them with me in my studio this morning on an overcast day. Working on some ’un-stitching’…which is never fun, but we want perfect stitches. A good podcast and beautiful flowers make it better. taken in Wasaga Beach, Ontario by @andreaneildesign

My client Myrna has a tradition of gifting a quilt to her grandchildren when they graduate high school. This one will be going to her grandson. I love the nautical/beach themed fabrics she chose. She asked for me not to quilt it too densely, so it still has a nice drape and cuddly feel.

91,181 stitches later and Anne’s #summermoonquilt turned out magnificent!

Take a second to admire the beautiful Tilda fabrics she used and just look at the piecing. Some half square triangles as small as 1/2”!
