#beafriendlikeDANA
My best friend in the world, Dana Avant Clark received her angel wings this past Labor Day. I guess the Almighty saw her earthly assignment completed : woman of God; faithful wife to Glenn; phenomenal mother to my phenomenal Goddaughter Lauren ( who is also a woman of God and achieved being the youngest D1 women's head basketball coach in America at age 24);faithful daughter who has taken unprecedented care of her mother and grandmother ; faithful and generous Godmother to my three sons Rod, Willie & Sammy; loyal, respected and hardworking hospital executive who has managed hundreds of employees in various hospital systems.

I met Dana at 13 when we carpooled to Bellevue Junior High. Best friends for over 40 years and I'm proud to say she was the kindest, most caring, generous, sincerest woman this side of heaven! We possessed a friendship that never saw arguements or disrespect of any kind....never. Dana's quiet, sweet, generous spirit is the perfect example of a best friend. As my maid of honor over 30 years ago, she faithfully remembered birthdays and anniversaries of Rodney and me. Never gossiped, never speaking ill of others, but quick to serve. The legacy of this tremendous, beautiful soul's spirit will be forever stamped into my heart.

Father in Heaven, I thank you in abundance for giving me more than I could ever ask when you graciously provided me Dana Avant Clark as my best friend. What a privilege!

My dear Dana, I celebrate you and I honor you beautiful sweet soul. Thank you that in your last minutes of life on this earth you held my hand , provided me words of wisdom and spoke encouraging words over my life. You reminded me who I am. I will fight the good fight so that we may reconvene our loving friendship again in Heaven. 🙏🏽

TO GOD BE THE GLORY❤️
