On Monday night we went to see Sam Demma here in Calgary. He was unreal!

I bought the tickets on the fly, before I googled him, crept him on all the platforms and tried to decode if he was entertaining or it was worth our time. I just wanted a night out with my kiddo and apparently now that needs to be scheduled.

For context this is a little odd because I normally decode a person's entire brand strategy and business model before I'll give them 90 minutes of my life. 😆 This time an ad popped up on IG, something about his energy caught me, I paid $26.75 a ticket and volun-told my 21-year-old that he had a date with his mother.

Best decision I've made in a month, it was an absolutely amazing show. His message was so simple and yet somehow so profound: your energy is enough and it's a form of goodwill that you can share. Being curious about someone is a gift that you give them, especially when you put down your phone.

So, today...where can you get curious about the humans you are spending time with? by @andreareindl

Here’s a fun Friday book for you...it made me laugh out loud, and then it made me think. It’s a fun light read one single truth bomb at a time. 📚

Sarah Knight the author of a series of books on how to live life on your own terms. Her brand is sassy meets discerning that is delivered with enough giggles that it sticks.

Her big idea is that your life force of time, energy, money and attention all deserves to be spent the way you want to spend it. So decide how you want your life to look, feel and be, then live that way.

It’s so easy to get excited about the next shiny thing. The book, the new offer, the website redo... none of those are bad ideas. But every one of them costs something, and usually more than money.

Not everything deserves your f*cks. Even the good ideas. Especially the good ideas, sometimes.

I’m headed into a season of giving fewer of them to side quests, and focus fiercely on the spaces, people and projects that light me the f*ck up.

With that in mind, what can you taking off your list this weekend? 👇

Do you know who your best customers and clients are? If you can't answer that and you want more clients spending time obsessing about your best fit clients is worth it.

How come? Well, we live in a searchable, findable, interest-based media world. If you can identify exactly who you help and how you help them, you become highly referable. And that, my friends, is one of the simplest ways to grow a business.

When you know who your best-fit client is and what problems you solve for them. Everything other decision you have to make get easier. I've had this drilled into me lately...

A few weeks ago we started a new project --- redoing our own website at Legacy Creative. It's a 'thing' and has turned into quite the project. You see, building our website has forced me to get narrower and clearer. Narrower. Narrower. Narrower. And more refined about who I want to work with for the next 3 years.

Writing a book can do the same thing. Both are very good activities for helping you become so clear that your messaging feels magnetic and the way you put yourself into the world makes sense.

It becomes easier for people to refer you, easier for AI to know who to send your way and easier for the right people to hire you. And whether they first meet you by buying an entry-level product, booking a discovery call, or coming to one of your community events, they already know who you are when they arrive.

This one thing will save you a massive amount of time, help you charge premium rates and make your life wayyyyy more fun.

I have made so many mistakes in how I've built my business. SO many!

And so often I've ended up on exploration calls with possible clients who have spent oodles of money (sometimes over 6 figures) trying to get their messaging and branding working to attract clients, still to have nothing.

Look I get it, we all make mistakes all the time. These are the 5 I see the most often and are actually really fixable. Especially with knowing what you want and having someone to help you make smarter mistakes that cost less money.

If you're new here let's connect as I share the blunders I've made so you don't have to do the same. by @andreareindl

To stand out with your book you’re thinking about writing and the business you are launching you are going to need a messaging strategy that makes sense to your ideal customer and is memorable. (And not necessarily your favorite aunt or BFF from high school)

The best way to do that is have a big idea, get good at talking about and keep talking about it till you’re kind of sick of it.

Eventually the right people will find you.

Make it a great Monday!

Summer dump, 2026 ☀️

Today might be the first real day of fall.

The kids are back at school, the adult children are settling into university, and after spending a lot of the summer offline, I thought a photo dump meets life update was in order.

June was full of hiking, biking, friends, time outside and even a bit of a bougie event.

Stampede was extra fun this year because all of my adult children were home. We had company, a very full house, a whole lot of memories, and what felt like very little sleep for about a week.

There were corporate events, Calgary outings, sunny patios, good conversations, and book ideas and podcast themes dreamed up with clients. Who knew Calgary could be this much fun in July?

Late July brought a big family reunion in BC. Two days of extended-family shenanigans, games, swimming pools, laughter, and so much food.

August somehow feels like it evaporated, although my camera roll says we packed a lot of living into it.

One of my children took a huge adventure through South America with friends. He spread his wings, summited Cotopaxi, and swam in South American oceans.

Fun fact: this year both of my children travelled without me to countries I’ve never been to. I’m not sure how I feel about this development. 😂

We closed out August by moving my youngest into university, where she settled into her room like the capable big girl she is. I’m proud, emotional, still adjusting and pretty happy that I don’t have TeamSnap running my life for a few months. (IFYKYK)

I also completed my Colour Mirrors practitioner certification, hosted an in-person Sip & Soul evening, met wonderful new people through Curated Connections, and continued our monthly Speakeasy Mastermind gatherings. (I’ll be dropping updates on how you we attend our events later, stay tuned)

Legacy Creative had a beautiful summer, too. Our clients hosted events, approved new branding and logos, finished manuscripts, signed book deals, and launched new websites.

Overall summer this year came with some bumps and yet, was pretty freaking great.

And now I’m wildly recharged and ready for fall 2026 to rock. 🍂

Almost every week, someone asks me some version of the same question: should I start a membership?

I get the appeal. Nobody likes starting every month back at zero. Everyone wants something that keeps producing after they've stopped selling it.

But somewhere between the vision and the real thing, most memberships break, and it's almost never the content that broke.

I've spent the last 18 months asking two groups of people the same question: those who run communities, and those who pay to be in them. Of everyone I talked to, exactly zero said they pay monthly for content, templates, or how-tos. Not one person mentioned the resource library, the recordings, or the swipe files as the thing that was valuable. What they said instead, over and over, was some version of: a place I can be real, a place I can be seen, a place I find support for reaching my goals.

That should change what you build.

Think about sports. Every team plays with the same rulebook. When a team is losing, they don't go buy a new rulebook. They bring in a coach, change the dynamic, trade a player. Your framework is a rulebook, and in the age of AI, the rulebook is free. What people pay to belong to is the coach, the room, and the accountability that keeps them from quitting on themselves.

Which is exactly why the planning matters more than the platform. A membership is a business-model decision, not a content decision. Building it before you can say who belongs and what they become is the fastest way to waste a year.

Swipe for the four things to get clear on first.

Belonging is the product. It has to be designed on purpose, because it does not happen by accident.

Which of the four are you least clear on right now? by @andreareindl

Lots of family time, Calgary Stampede on steroids, new friends, best friends, mastermind crew and a few missed hours of sleep. All worth it.

Now…it’s time for August to kick into full gear. August is one of my fav months. by @andreareindl

Is there anything better than a color-coded bookshelf?

I know, this isn't alphabetical or by topic. This setup, inspired by one of my BFFs, makes me so happy. It means there is a place for everything, almost everything in its place, and a small hit of joy every time I look at that rainbow.

What lights you up, hopefully something simple? by @andreareindl

This mundane yet monumental moment seems worth logging.

Last week we were doing yard work when suddenly it morphed into everyone piled onto the front door steps, hunched over a laptop, helping the youngest register for her first semester of university this fall.

WTF, how did this sneak up on me? One minute I'm pulling weeds, the next I'm watching my kids rally around the baby as she picks the classes that start the next chapter of life.

Fall is going to be different.

But, for now, we are soaking up every last bit of this sun while we're all still in one place.

Keep it fun, and make it a great day. by @andreareindl
