🚨 What started as a climb to the top of Montana's highest peak turned into an incredible fight for survival.

A Billings man was impaled by a trekking pole during a freak accident on Granite Peak. Instead of waiting for a rescue helicopter, he and his friends made a remarkable decision that stunned first responders.

A hungry bear. A messy campsite. A heartbreaking ending. 🐻💔
A Billings family watched a black bear spend over an hour rummaging through food, trash and cooking grease left at an unattended campsite near Red Lodge. The next day, they watched that same food conditioned bear be euthanized.
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks says it's been a record year for bear conflicts in the Red Lodge area, with six food-conditioned bears already euthanized. Officials also say they believe some people may be intentionally feeding bears.

A routine walk turned into a tragedy.

Friends and neighbors are remembering Billings mother, Mollie Jensen after she was struck and killed while walking along Riverside Road. Now, they're asking whether this heartbreaking loss could have been prevented.

I'm taking a look at the road where it happened—a stretch with little to no shoulder and no streetlights—and spoke with people who say safety concerns have existed for years.
