Before & After Color Grading featuring @tina_tai

Been practicing my color grading technique on DaVinci Resolve. I just love how color can completely change the entire mood of a video!

I recommend watching @onlinecreativepost , @runhaar, and @flexpressions to learn more about color grading. I’ve learned so many great tips just by studying their videos. by @andreasagun

color grade before & after, scene 1

This was a fun one to edit and color grade. Ari, the writer/producer, said she wanted the scene to look warm and intimate. So we shaped the scene with warm and earthy tones as the character was going through the motions to set up the mood for date night.

Shoutout to the Production crew (Teresita, Eli, Michael, Jett, Ramonte) for setting up the shot to look like it was late in the evening - this was actually shot during the day!

The DP, Eli, captured the moment on the BlackMagic Design. All the braw files were edited and color graded in Davinci Resolve by me.

I haven’t really shot any sports related content but I’m trying to expand my portfolio and get some practice in. Frank is an avid tennis player and I’ve seen his stories on the court so I thought, what better way to practice than to film my friends doing what they love? I sent him a treatment deck of my ideas and I told him, “just have fun with it - be in your own element and freak it”

Thank you Frank for being a great sport and for always being down for my creative ideas. I had a fun time running around and filming you!
