Been reading James Clear’s “Atomic Habits” and want to share one of the core lessons I learned from it:

Motivation is bullshit. Discipline is power.

Why? Because motivation is unreliable. It’s a feeling that people rely on for success. But feelings come and go.

Really successful people feel the same lack of motivation as everyone else. The difference is that they still find a way to show up despite the feelings of boredom.

If you only do the work when it’s convenient or exciting, then you’ll never be consistent enough to achieve remarkable results.

Read that again. It’s basically Nike’s slogan: just do it. Every. Single. Time. Don’t fall into an “all or nothing mindset”. Show up, and do as good as you can - even if you’re not motivated.

Discipline is not a gift. It is built. 🤍

Imagine this:

if you had $86,400 and someone stole $10 from you, would you be upset and throw the remaining $86,390 away in hopes to getting back at the person who took your $10?
Or move on and live?

Right, obviously move on and live.

The thing is, that we all have 86,400 seconds each day.

I have been working like crazy this summer. Literally have been working everyday… no social life, just work, work, work, work. Rihanna’s words were my soundtrack. Long boring story, but the important thing is that is over now.

So when August finally arrived, I got a new soundtrack and Im so happy to have time to live my life again and spend time with the people I love the most (and give myself some self care).

One of my favorite layovers is Seoul 🇰🇷

I have been a guest here many times, and thought about what it means to be a top tier guest when visiting another country since I just posted about how to be a top tier passenger.

Let me introduce you to a word I learned on my latest travel in South Korea: nunchi 눈치

If you understand nunchi, you understand how to be a better guest ▫️

눈치 is directly translated to ‘eye measure’, and means the ability to read a room perfectly/or to have emotional intelligence. It’s also one of the first words Korean kids learn.

Being a great guest is about reading the room:

• Notice the cues
• Respect the silence
• Know when to speak — and when to give space
• Take a moment to observe before jumping in
• Keep your voice low, especially in shared spaces
• Ask someone you trust if you’re not sure whats appropriate
• Be curious, respectful, and willing to learn

Be someone with nunchi 🤍

It’s not just a bag. 💼

I used to buy cheap bags without really understanding how much care, love and craftsmanship goes into creating one.

That has changed. Forever.

These beautiful handmade masterpieces are created by Danish artist Louise Norbye @norbyebag made from leather sources from biodynamic farms i Switzerland.

Biodynamic farming is considered one of the highest standards of organic and sustainable agriculture. When choosing leather, it means a lot to me to know the animal had the best life possible.

And of course, I love owning a truly unique piece that no one else has, and NORBYE’s creativity and minimalistic style is exactly what I want.
