Had a such lovely time visiting beautiful BC last week ⛰️🍂♥️

Went on a little road trip with my husband, nephew, and niece to enjoy the scenery and show my husband where I’m from 🥰.

BC was exceptionally gorgeous with all the fall colors, and I got to see my cousin @sheenydawn for her birthday! Overall it was a super fun trip. Seeing this beautiful country and spending time with loved ones just makes me feel sososo happy to be living in Canada again 😩🙏❤️. taken in Revelstoke, British Columbia by @andreawells90_

Today marks one month of living in Calgary again 🇨🇦🫶.

It’s been a whirlwind so far. There’s SO much to do with getting settled, but I’ve been making sure to spend time with friends and family too 🩷.

This past month has included: countless hours of thrifting to refurnish our new place (we only took our clothes and a few boxes of personal items from North Carolina) - along with registry visits, bank appointments, and tying up a bunch of administrative loose ends related to the move.

There’s been plenty of fun things too like visiting my favorite spots around the city, enjoying the world’s greatest restaurant FUSION SUSHI, and going on some day trips with my niece.

Overall I’m just incredibly happy to be home after 7 years away, and with my husband by my side. Now excuse me while I get back to relishing in the knowledge that my country’s leader isn’t a total psycho, and if I ever need to go to the hospital it won’t financially destroy me 😘.

Waffles survived a big day of international air travel from Raleigh to Calgary! ✈️🙀

Her day included a 5 hour layover, 3 failed standby attempts, 2 flights, and 1 tram ride.

Talk about a stressful day! Especially that layover. Last time I flew with Waff, our layover was only 1 hour which was manageable. But 5 hours with a stressed out cat trapped in a tiny carrier? Yikes.

Thankfully with a little pop up kitty playpen and some other accessories, she was able to stretch her legs and we both squeezed a nap in.

Flying with a kitty is not for the faint of the heart let me tell you. But the good news is I’m never doing it again so long as I can help it. I made a promise to Waff that we’re never moving internationally again 😂.

I flew back to NC solo a couple days later and Waffy is staying with auntie @alyssia_.__ while my husband and I finish packing and drive to Canada to officially begin our new life there! We hit the road tomorrow and I can’t believe it. by @andreawells90_

Am I crazy for running off to Charlotte with less than a week to prepare for an international move? Probably 🤷‍♀️.

Do I regret it? Definitely not 😘.

Had so much fun hanging with @tytytyler and seeing @hilaryduff! It was almost exactly 1 year ago that we saw Kesha at the same venue and he broke the news to me that Hilary had signed with a music management company and I lost👏my👏dang👏mind👏. There’s been some ambiguous teasing by Hilary but nothing concrete. When I heard that news I knew yup, for sure, she’s making new music. The dream I had let go of years ago was coming true!!!!

Wild to think there’s been a whole new album and tour since then (and I’ve attended 4 of those dates!). Seeing her again after nearly 20 years has brought me so much joy and excitement I can’t even begin to explain. Thank you Hilary. Thank you thank you thank you.

Last night definitely helped distract me from the sadness of having to leave my job for the move. Though as I was driving home it brought up some more sadness realizing I’m leaving behind my concert/North Carolina buddy Tyler and all my other US friends (including @foxiegaspie who also made an appearance last night)😭. Though it’s not goodbye forever, I’ll still see everyone again when I visit 🫶.

Well, back to packing and being sososo grateful for the awesome experiences and people I get to have in my life. LUCKY ME!

Tearing up on a plane right now as I fly away from two of the best nights of my life with @hilaryduff at @thekiaforum 🥹🩷.

Seeing my childhood QUEEN back in action in a jam packed arena was fucking incredible.

I still can’t believe she came back to music with a god tier album, and now she’s treating us to this tour. It was all truly a CELEBRATION and the joy in the room was palpable.

Hilary meant sosososo much to teenage me. Carried me through a lot of heavy shit as a young girl. Her world and music were an escape and safe haven that brought a lot of comfort and joy.

Life is better now in my 30’s, and it feels so good to still have Hilary along for the ride. And you can tell she has this new confidence and air about her on stage. It’s like she fully recognizes herself for the pop QUEEN she’s always been, and it makes for such a fun show.

Just as important as Hilary herself, is the community I’ve found along the way. I got to meet up with @loganscott13 in person for the first time after connecting on a Hilary forum 20+ years ago. Then I got to see @christarpos who I met on that same forum. We hadn’t seen in eachother in 17 years! And I linked up with some of my A&A besties too @asouealbert.78 @shannonbryana @foxiegaspie

Hilary I LOVE YOU. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO. Thank you for bringing awesome people and music into my life.

I feel like this line is overused, so know that I sincerely truly mean it with my full heart and chest when I say… THIS IS WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF 😘🫶.

Had a blast seeing @kesha with @tytytytyl3r last week! 🥰

It was our second Kesha show together and my fourth one over all. Been a big fan since the beginning and it’s always so great to see her, especially now in her Freedom era. She puts on an amazing show and the setlist is a great mix of old and new favorites. Can’t wait to see her again in the future! taken in Raleigh, North Carolina by @andreawells90_

Got to accomplish a bucket list item last week on the way to seeing Hilary Duff in Vegas.

I’ve always wanted to see the desert where the rocks and dirt are red. It seems like such a cool biome and one of the few things in nature I hadn’t seen in real life yet.

What an otherworldly experience to see it for the first time! My husband and I drove through Utah and Arizona exploring Moab, Monument Valley, Page, Vermillion Cliffs and Zion National Park on our way to Vegas.

So grateful and happy I got to do this with my best friend by my side. These are memories I will cherish forever, and I can’t wait to go back and see and do even more! taken in Arizona-Utah-Nevada by @andreawells90_

Seeing @hilaryduff for the first time in 19 years was a dream come true 💕.

Many happy tears were shed. It was an absolute whirlwind of a show with a perfect mix of songs from all her eras. Words can’t convey how grateful I am to have been there.

It wasn’t long ago that I truly thought she was done with music forever, and I’ve never been so happy to be wrong.

I missed you, Hilary. Thank you for returning to music and to the stage. It’s already brought me so much joy (and we’re just getting started). Looking forward to more shows this summer 🙌.

Can’t believe that in 2 short weeks I’ll be seeing @hilaryduff for the first time in almost 20 years!

So emotional about this 🥹. If you knew me in my teens, then you know just how big of a deal Hilary is to me. I lived and breathed everything Duff, and I’ve continued to love and support her as she took a step back from music over the years. I was so lucky to see her live 7 times back in the day, 4 of which where I got to meet her all thanks to the kindness and generosity of her mom & management team.

What a delight it’s been having her return to music, better than ever. Her new album is EVERYTHING and the fact I’m seeing her live again soon is such a gift. I truly thought this would never happen again. The only thing that would make this better is getting an updated picture together! Wish me luck in that endeavor 😂.

Looking forward to the big day in Vegas. I’ll just be happy crying off and on until then 🥲. by @andreawells90_

Attended my final show of the first leg of @alyandaj’s Places To Run Tour this past Friday!

What a wonderful treat to have them do so many shows so close to me this month. This was another show where it was close enough to drive there and back in the same day.

Always lovely to see @iamaly @iamaj and their crew, and to enjoy amazing live music with friends!

Looking forward to more shows later this year. Until then, I’ll be focusing on attending Hilary Duff shows and finally moving my ass back to Canada 🤭🇨🇦. taken in Wilmington, North Carolina by @andreawells90_

Made a day trip to Winston-Salem to see @alyandaj ☺️.

It was my first time attending an out of town A&A show that I didn’t stay overnight at (since it’s only a 90 minute drive). So that was a novelty.

But the REAL thrill of the night was when @iamaly and @iamaj dedicated Chemicals React to me on stage and then I DIED. Literally. I’m a ghost now. RIP me 🪦.

I’m so honored they would take time out of their amazing show for lil ol’ me. Thank you both 😭🙏.
