On today’s episode of being naked

The Year of Fatigue

Fatigue with bullshit.
Fatigue with gossip.
Fatigue with vapid remarks.

Fatigue with stories whose ending I know before they begin.
Fatigue with days that taught me nothing.
Fatigue with building someone else’s dream instead of my own.

Fatigue with eating at the same three restaurants.
Fatigue with canceled dates.
Fatigue with forced smiles and fake humility.
Fatigue with sparkless eyes and inflated egos in backstage rooms.

This year’s emotion is chosen fatigue.

Fatigue from endless work.
From choosing a path.
From moving and starting again.
From entering rooms I don’t yet belong to.
From constant feedback loops.

From staring at my temporary incompetence.
From explaining myself.
From facing my insecurities.

The fatigue of creation.
The fatigue I choose.
The fatigue that invigorates me.
The fatigue that builds me.

The fatigue that humbles me. by @andrejjurga
