This past Sunday I had the great honor of being license into ministry by church family at @universityheightschurch who I love deeply.

Since I was a junior in high school at a summer camp listening to @cwedgeman preach I have felt the call to full time vocational ministry I have been waking in this call it has been the biggest blessing the Lord has given me.

I would not be here without these people.

@the_billy_jack for being the best role model I could ask for in ministry. He took me under his wing three and half years ago and has taught me what it looks like to be a minster who leads at the feet of Jesus.

Beautiful future wife @madisonaraguz . For these past 5 years she has done nothing but encourage me and push me as a man of God. She has truly been a backbone for me in my ministry and I know she will be that for the rest of our lives.

And for my amazing family who have done nothing but encourage and push me into a closer relationship with the Lord.

We serve a great and mighty God.

Psalm 25:5 is a verse that I have been sitting with lately in my walk with the Lord, and I wanted to share it here.

King David says this,

“Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; I wait all day long.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭25‬:‭5‬ ‭

When I read this it was a big wake-up call for my life. I have and I think most of us can fall victim to following and walking with the Lord because we want him to help us with our plans.

But what David is crying out to the Lord in this verse is much more than that. He says he wants the Lord to lead him away from himself and his sinful desires and onto the Lord’s paths and truths for his life. Not for the benefit of himself but to become more like Christ and to glorify the Lord.

And I struggle with falling into the mindset that I need to grow in my walk with Jesus so that “My life will get better”. It becomes a very me-centered gospel, and I think that is a mindset that we all can fall into. But that is not the point of our walks with Jesus. It’s all about Him, we are following the Lord to bring him the glory and praise Him for the fact that he is sovereign and reigns over everything. He has saved us from our sins so I need to praise Him for who he is and my prayer is for us to let Him lead us in His truths and not our own. (John 3:30)

This has been a conviction of mine and I wanted to share it with all of you. I hope this was an encouragement to you. by @andrew_cox03

Can’t let this guy go unnoticed on his day!

BJ is the definition of a selfless leader and will do anything and everything so that the kingdom of God will be known.

You don’t get enough credit for everything you do for people and the Lord, and as you know I wouldn’t be who I am today without your mentorship in my life and ministry.
