One year laterā€¦ Itā€™s really amazing how much can change in just one year! Itā€™s also pretty crazy that I used to think this was impossible. I still have a long ways to go but Iā€™m super proud of the progress! Excited to see what year 2 with 1st Phorm has in store for me! Happy Sunday yall! #iam1stphorm #fitness #health #mentalhealth #beforeandafter by @andrew_qualich
Blueberry muffin oats! But make them fuel ā›½ļø I used to be one of those guys who skipped breakfast. Then I became a guy who ate Dunkinā€™, Starbucks, or ate out at diners and overate pretty much every single time. NOW, Iā€™ve become a guy who sets the tone for the day with a light bowl of Blueberry muffin oats! Itā€™s like a breakfast dessert that actually serves me and keeps me full and fueled! Not to mention itā€™s cost effective! I save like $15-$20 a day by making breakfast at home. Plus it tastes SO good! So hereā€™s a recap of the benefits of this meal for me ā€¢keeps me fueled through the morning ā€¢keeps me full through the morning ā€¢satisfies my sweet tooth ā€¢helps curb cravings ā€¢high in protein ā€¢saves me a bunch of money ā€¢tasty way to start the day Hereā€™s the recipe! 1/2 cup Oats 2 tbsp Chia seeds 1 cup Frozen Blueberries 1/2 tbsp Cinnamon Pinch of salt Drizzle of maple syrup 1 scoop of 1st Phorm Level-1 Blueberry Muffin You can add breakfast sausage to this to boost protein and make blueberry ā€œpigs in a blanketā€ style oats. šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„ Cook the breakfast sausage and chop it up into small pieces then mix it in at the end! Or you could have eggs/egg whites on the side to boost Your protein intake that much more! #breakfast #oats #1stphorm #protein #blueberry by @andrew_qualich
There were no snacks, water, or PR bell at the finish line SUPER LAME!!!! Still showed up and showed out! Silver lining, it was 65 degrees and lightly raining Supreme conditions for running šŸ™ Super blessed to be able to move like this I believe I still have plenty of room for growth though Thereā€™s only one way to find out! šŸƒā€ā™‚ļø Stay blessed yall!!! #strava #running #halfmarathon #growth #food by @andrew_qualich
Home sweet home! 10 days of traveling, working, racing, learning, recovering, running, studying, hanging with family, visiting our favorite spots down there, and running some more with Andy Glaze! Stay blessed yall! #running #beach #halfmarathon #sunset #home by @andrew_qualich
Met a goat this morning! šŸ Got to log some miles with a gang of like minded folks Saw some views I skipped on when I was in DC for Hyrox Heard some awesome stories of crazy hallucinations, got some tips on recovery, and some encouragement on pursuing my current goals! Itā€™s important to connect with people who are further ahead than you. Not financially or in a materialistic way. More like in a life experience and performance kind of way. LETS GET BETTER TOGETHER!!! STAY BLESSED YALL!!! #dc #running #strava #fitness #health by @andrew_qualich
Vibes were up in DC šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øāš”ļø We were learning, growing, laughing, starting, finishing, building, and for some of us puking šŸ˜… Wouldnā€™t change a thing! Excited to build off of this experience in Tampa!!! Thank you to those who helped make this trip possible. Thank you to those who pushed me into the Hyrox arena! Thank god for safe passage and the will to finish! šŸ™ #hyrox #gratitude #growth #goal #nevergiveup by @andrew_qualich
We made it!!! For my first race I really wanted to do better. Things got rocky real quick but I still finished! Through the puke and rally immediately after station 2 the 4 runs that turned into walks after that The cramps that came early due to losing hydration/nutrition The relentless quad cramps in the lunges I STILL FUCKING FINISHED!!! Never folded on myself, god, or the mission.šŸ™ No matter how dire of a situation I put myself in I still pushed through the pain and got shit done! Back to the drawing board! Tampa is up next!! Stay blessed!!! #Hyrox #fitness #goals #dobetter #proud by @andrew_qualich
Another distance PR for your boy!!! āš”ļø Iā€™ll say this, I donā€™t share my growth to brag or make myself seem any better than anyone. The truth is thereā€™s many people who are faster, stronger, more intelligent, and definitely bigger than me. It wasnā€™t long ago that I was overweight, out of shape, and spiraling out of control with food and alcohol consumption. I remember it like it was yesterday when my best friend told me I was getting fat. Not in like a mean way but he knew me when I was younger and fit and noticed that I was letting myself go. SO, the reason I get so excited and share my PRā€™s is because a little over a year agoā€¦ I could barely run a mile. I could barely bench 95 lbs. I could barely squat 100 lbs Joined a Hyrox style workout and quit on my team because I wasnā€™t mentally strong enough to endure the discomfort. I had to do assisted pull ups because I couldnā€™t lift myself up. You get the point right? I was the weakest Iā€™d ever been in my adult life! Both mentally and physically. I know, I still have a ways to go! However, Iā€™m still proud of what I accomplished! I hope if you take anything away from this itā€™ll be the fact that you can share your accomplishments from a place of self growth and gratitude! Itā€™s okay to shine your light! You never know whoā€™s watching! You never know who you could inspire to get better! STAY BLESSED!!! šŸ™ #blessed #iam1stphorm #running #fitness #strava by @andrew_qualich
Speed check!!! Cashed in my fasted 1k and fastest mile last night! The 1k PR is super important to me! Why? That distance run makes up half of the Hyrox race that Iā€™m training for! The fact that I shaved 21 seconds off that distance tells me that the work is working! Iā€™m also super pumped about the one mile PR! Knocking off 37 seconds from my previous PR is unreal! Finally hitting a sub 7 minute mile feels incredible! And this all happened on a random Thursday nightā€¦ Went to get some extra steps in at the track and the lights cut out on arrival. Had to take it to the streets! I hope everyone gets to close out the week strong! STACK DUBS!!!! #iam1stphorm #hyrox #running #strava #nevergiveup by @andrew_qualich
First Half Marathon in the books! Second time running that distance, first time with a bib on! This was actually my first time ever running in a race. Itā€™s never too late for moments like this!!! LETS FUCKING GO!!!!! #running #iam1stphorm #halfmarathon #rhodeisland #fun by @andrew_qualich
Smiles for miles!!! My first road race is in the books! Despite missing my goal of 1:45 I still set a PR of 1:49 for the half marathon! Thatā€™s a win in my book! I finished 36th in my age group and 171 overall. Still have a way to go but Iā€™m proud of the progress Iā€™ve made recently that helped me get across the finish line! Long summer of training ahead of me I can promise you that! Hey and big shoutout to @shainalynnmc for the videos and photos!!! Pleasant surprise seeing you on the course! STACK DUBS YALL!!! #halfmarathon #rhodeisland #strava #smilesformiles by @andrew_qualich
I did my good deed for the day!! But boy am I PISSED!!! I spent almost two hours cleaning up the bleachers and the area surround the track at Westerly high school! It was beyond disappointing to see so much trash left behind. Especially the cigarette butts and empty fireball nips. I feel like the parents sitting in the stands set a really bad example for the youth by leaving such a mess behind. Nobody is perfect but for a community that claims ā€œWesterly prideā€ so much you would think they would do a lot better than this. A town worker showed up to empty the 17 or 18 trash cans in the stands and around the track. Thatā€™s right, there were more than enough trash/recycling bins to put this stuff in but the parents still chose to be lazy and leave this mess behind. Anyway, I explained what I did and that I left a couple bags of trash near the entrance. I then expressed my disappointment in how much was left behind. He goes ā€œwell the kids only get this one night to celebrateā€ I then made the point that itā€™s not the kids but the parents who were sitting in the stands leaving such a mess. He nodded his head and goes ā€œthatā€™s fairā€. Iā€™m no genius but 2+2=4. We have one of the most beautiful high schools in the state yet this is how the parents treat it?! This is the example you set for your kids?! THE PARENTS OF WESTERLY NEED TO DO BETTER!!! All my locals do me a favor and share this with anyone you know who works for the town, the town board, etc. #community #trash #rhodeisland #graduation #dobetter by @andrew_qualich
