@andrewbrewer was going off everyday at Mochiyori but unfortunately had a gnarly injury on the last day - hope you heal up fast!

Update! Last Sunday I broke my Tibia Plateau while riding at Kawaba Resort in Japan for @snowboyproductions #mochiyori event.

I went to the hospital in Japan and was told i needed an immediate surgery to fix my leg. They gave me the option to change my flight and go back the states or to have the surgery in Japan. While i love japan being cooped up in the hospital for a week did not sound ideal so i decided to get back home. Flying the 12 hours back in coach was one of the most painful things I’ve done to this day. Long story but Fuck you @delta .

I landed back in Minneapolis and immediately checked myself into the emergency room. The swelling in my leg had gotten so bad that i needed to wait a day before surgery and that was also when i found out i had broken my left thumb as well.

The next morning i was induced for surgery and received 9 screws and 2 plates on the upper part of my shin bone. I have yet to receive an MRI but according the doctor my ligaments seem to looking ok. Hoping for the best.

I want to thank everyone who helped me but more specifically @takafumiokawa and @pjgustafsson for all of their help in those initial first few days.

First and foremost however i need to apologize to my wife @jesskiebke and our boys. My constant need for validation is not fair to them and something i have really been struggling with these last couple of days.

Lastly id like to thank everyone who has reached out and been a support system for me. I truly do appreciate you. Sorry if I’ve been rambling, between the pain and the meds I’ve been a little rattled. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 by @andrewbrewer
