SALT (Service And Leadership Training). For the past three weeks I have been serving at @woodlandscamp. That family has poured into me so much and have taught me so much even things I didn’t know about myself. The Lord put so many things on my heart over those weeks and He taught me how to serve others. If serving is above you then leadership is beneath you. We serve because Christ first served us. This was the most impactful weeks of my life and it will change my life forever. Woodlands enabled me to grow in my relationship with the Lord. I am so thankful for every single person apart of the woodlands family. From food service, spec ops, counselors and boosters. Thank you Woodlands camp! LOVE YALL!! by @andrewcooper.08

Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” This summer truly was dare I say unforgettable. From the campers God placed in our cabins, to the deep life changing conversations with campers, to being surrounded by a woodlands family that is so close. I wouldn’t change my summer for anything. Because Eternity Matters More. More than my comfort, my ups, down, tiredness, sleepiness, sickness, or anything. Now I could do a long essay about everything this summer but if you truly want to hear about every thing this summer, about how I saw God moving in my life, answering my prayers ,about how He changed campers lives. If you wanna hear all about it come talk to me. If you want to have the most impactful memories of your life come talk to me. God thank you for all you did this summer. Dear @woodlandscamp,
I have called you home for the past 9 times (7years of traditional and 2 wknd) I have been to camp. And now on June 23 I get to give back to the place the means the world to me. I will be serving and working at woodlands this summer with “there’s a little program we like to call SALT🧂” @bigjonestes. This place is my home, being surrounded by people who share the love for the Lord with me. Woodlands isn’t just a “camp” because it is home. It has brought so many people over from death to life. It brought me from death to life. And now I get to serve alongside the woodlands family and give back to camp. Woodlands camp I love you with all my heart. Matthew 5:43-44
“You have heard that it was said, ‘love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
Woodlands camp, where do I even begin. This week was truly dare I say UNFORGETTABLE. From being with friends, family, brothers and sisters in Christ this week has taught me so much. But I ultimately had an unforgettable time because of chapel and troubleshooters. It was such an eye opener what the Lord was trying to teach us this week from “follow me” to “love your enemies”. I am truly grateful for the way the Lord moved me this week. And for all of my brothers and sisters and especially my counselors.
