Last entry I completed for the @design.syndrome 30 day poster challenge, was definitely fun to take part in even if I didn't get to finish completely! This one was definitely my favorite, I think. by @andrewehrman

Looking back at these, I don't feel as bad about them as I did when I made them. Sometimes things only make sense after they've already happened. From @design.syndrome poster challenge back in Nov. of 2023? A little sad I didn't get a chance to complete the entire challenge, but I'm still glad I made the attempt. by @andrewehrman

Day 5/30 @design.syndrome poster challenge “Complex Simplicity”. From Threads, “Honestly don’t care for this too much, but it was a learning experience. I think at this point I’m so far behind that I’ll just be focusing on the quality of the posters I do get around to. This next one is going to take me a while to finish, but I’m definitely hyped on it so I don’t want to rush it!”

My intent behind this poster was to reduce the idea of complexity to its most basic elements and simplify the concept itself. This is why I used as few letters as possible and only a few abstract elements to convey the idea. by @andrewehrman

Day 4 of @design.syndrome poster challenge, today’s prompt I chose was “Ignorance is Bliss.” I did my best to design this poster without thinking about what I was doing, trying my best to stay true to the prompt. This went better than I anticipated because I literally jumped onto the canvas with no idea what I was going to make for it. by @andrewehrman

Day 3 of @design.syndrome poster challenge! This was based on the line “You’re thinking you’re all alone, but you’re not.” from Spirited Away by Studio Ghibli. It’s one of my favorite films of all time and I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to design a Ghibli poster. These little creatures are called Susuwatari and I chose to use them in my design because I felt they made perfect fits for carrying my candy hearts. In the movie, they help carry coal with Chihiro who has to work in the boiler room. by @andrewehrman

Day 2 of @design.syndrome poster challenge, this time it was about “The Fabric of Reality”. Took a different approach on this one from before and I like the result overall but not sure I nailed the concept I wanted to. by @andrewehrman

Day 1 of @design.syndrome poster challenge, really just wanted to conceptualize the idea of going down a rabbit hole. Moderately happy with the outcome. Not happy with the IG cropping but oh well I guess. by @andrewehrman
