Nerd kingpins @spankyscardshopkc moved to a bigger store and asked me to build a few custom point of sale desks for them. Here’s store owners Spanky and Kevin enjoying the new furniture in completely candid and unstaged photos. I threw in a couple of the work in progress photos as well to keep it honest. Finished up this lap desk last night and then proceeded to take it for a test drive. Thanks @keenan_nichols for the scratch paper. One of my goals this year was to work on my sewing skills and I'm glad I found a way to combine that with the carpentry skills I already had.

I've had one of these back home ever since I was a child and really missed having it around. They're very handy for reading, writing, playing Switch, or doing computer work while seated/in bed. I also love how it had built in loop for hanging so I had to include that as well. taken in McMurdo Station, Antarctica by @andrewerdrich

Made this guitar hanger a couple/few weeks ago. Pretty nice having a large shop nearly all to myself! Think this is burl oak with pine dowels. To finish I used danish oil for looks and Herculiner, for that #gription. taken in McMurdo Station, Antarctica by @andrewerdrich

Went to WAIS Divide field camp from January 27 - February 8 to close down operations for the season. This was my first experience working in the deep field and I'm very grateful for the opportunity. Happy to report we finished all our tasking without issue AND I had a great time seeing some nature, eating tasty food and making new friends. Thanks to all the sustaining staff that made camp more welcoming, and the leadership of foreman @3fingers_of_whiskey. I look forward to my next foray!

Brief recap of a beautiful weekend closing Lake Hoare:
Slept in the dirt, spent quality time with various ice formations, made a bouillabaisse for the crew, and a saltine and butter boat for @3fingers_of_whiskey taken in Lake Hoare by @andrewerdrich
