Well folks, I think this might be the background I'll go for! I may adjust it slightly over the coming days, but the BIG key factor was I had a full night's sleep and woke up the next morning not disliking it which is a win for me 😆😅

Hot off the press. I'm really happy with how this one of Richard Petty's iconic 1970 Plymouth Superbird NASCAR turned out. Most people will associate this coloured and shaped car with Strip "The King" Weathers from the movie cars, which unsurprisingly was based on this car and was even voiced by Richard Petty!

It's Le Mans race week! Will Ferrari make it 4 overall race wins in a row since their come back victory with the Ferrari 499P?

I drew the 2023 winner that kicked off the current three-peat winning streak, and it's probably one of my most detailed Illustrations.

The Jim Clark/Lotus combo peaked in 1967 with the stunning Lotus 49. Jimmy had never driven the car before it's debut at the 1967 Dutch Grand Prix and with mechanical issues in qualifying/practice he started 8th. Remarkably he went on to win the race which only adds to the mystic of this driver/combo

Car is more or less done! Really pleased with how this one has come together! Livery is your started 2020 season one, but I used Lewis' Abu Dhabi race helmet with the gold trim for this one.
Now to come up with a background 🫣😬

I was shocked to hear about the sudden passing of NASCAR legend Kyle Busch yesterday. Tt brings things into perspective when a week ago after winning the Truck series race, he said "You never know when the last one is" in his post race interview. Life can be so fragile.

7 years sure has gone by quick.
Niki Lauda (22 February 1949 – 20 May 2019)

I originally started this Illustration of Lauda in his 1975 world championship winning Ferrari 312T back in 2017, but sat on it for a a number of years before nailing a background I really liked! Fast forward to earlier this year when I completely redrew the car after deciding my previous standards and workflows weren't quite up to par anymore 😆🤦

I put together this video showing a look at how I created my Illustration of Ayrton Senna's 1990 McLaren MP4/5B. The video was edited in Vegas Pro using individual frames I exported. I must admit this wasn't the 'exact' order it was originally drawn in as I didn't have the foresight that I would want to create a video like this! So I essentially deconstructed the Illustration step by step then reversed the frames for the video! Hope you all enjoy

32 years since we lost one of the great ones, Ayrton Senna da Silva.

This Illustration is of his all conquering McLaren MP4/4 from that legendary 1988 season where Senna clinched the first of three Formula One World Drivers Championships in a tense season long battle with his team mate Alain Prost. Between them they would go on to win all but 1 race in that season.
