POSTS STORIES REELS

It’s been about a week and a half since our @johnniewalker XR21 x @barameyofficial concert “the Infinite Journey”. Reflecting back not just on how awesome the concert was but the journey we took to get here. If you didn’t know, this year is Baramey’s 10th year anniversary. The milestone has me reflecting on people to thank but also about my own growth from the naive young man who arrived here nearly a decade ago. One thing I’m really proud of from this night: I did 6 minute speech on behalf of Baramey in about 70% Khmer, 30% English. 2018 me would be so proud. I told myself a while ago that even if this Baramey thing didn’t work out, that if I at least could speak my mother language after 3 decades in USA of not being able to, then I would be fully satisfied. Taking this opportunity to do so and being able to speak from the heart about the journey, our sacrifices, our thanks for the fans and business collaborators was the ultimate win for the insecure young Andy questioning what it meant to be Khmer in San Jose. It was the first time in years I felt nervous to do public speaking, forreal. These two videos here didn’t capture the full speech - we have some nicer footage that maybe I’ll post haha. Team needs to edit the special performance videos first.

Grateful to @revivrestudio @tifannybopha for this custom suit. I knew I’d have the proper occasion to wear it and show love to one of my favorite designers in PP. Grateful to @jtschhay for this incredible JW partnership and all of your other contributions to Khmer art that many others probably don’t see. Im glad to get closer to you Bong and make some dope shit. Grateful to my whole @barameyofficial team for this concert. We been through a lot this year. It was really hard and still is. But the team has kept an incredible spirit and never lost their joy. We’ve evolved and upskilled so far and we still have more to give to Cambodia and the world. To close it out: Khmer people are resilient AF. I’m grateful that I get to walk in this infinite journey with you. Orkun. by @andrewmam.x

Happy Birthday to the one and only Momma Mam @mthida Stayed up super late last night editing these photos cause I wanted to make sure it captured the regal wisdom and power she inspires in me. She is the best. Had to chance to snap these when we took a wonderful adventure to Phnom Kulen. I hadn’t been here since I was a kid and it was absolutely stunning. I just wanted to tell my momma again I love you. Thank you for this life and helping grow Cambodia through your children. You truly are amazing! Happiest birthday. by @andrewmam.x

🎥 BEHIND THE SCENES // Rise for Khmer 🇰🇭 – Baramey in Paris

From culture to action. From unity to impact.
Rise for Khmer was more than a concert.

It was a historic milestone and a pioneering moment for Cambodian culture abroad. One of the first events of this scale to showcase Cambodia on one of Paris’ most prestigious stages, bringing together major Cambodian artists outside of Asia and transforming this cultural momentum into a genuine movement of solidarity.

Putting Cambodia on the international stage was powerful. Turning that moment into real help when it mattered most is unforgettable.

Together, we proved that culture can inspire, unite, and create a lasting impact far beyond the stage.
Thank you to everyone who believed in this vision and helped make it possible.

Thank you to the French and European audience who filled Salle Pleyel, and to everyone who, even from afar, carried Rise for Khmer in their hearts 🇰🇭✨

Thank you to our co-organizer, @khmer_artists_association, to our co-producer, @barameyofficial, and heartfelt thanks to our sponsors @royalgroupkh, @chipmongland, and @ocicgroup for standing with us.

Thank you to our incredible performers: @tepmonoromfrance, @deejaydrunk_sambo, @cici_cs, @_.peiju_, @jack.tss and @angel.vision_93, for bringing their talent and energy to this unforgettable celebration ✨

A special thank you to our event partners, @txevent and @pickmybooth, for their invaluable support and collaboration.

And finally, our heartfelt thanks to our MC, @raphal_yem, whose presence and enthusiasm helped make this event truly special 🎤

Thank you as well to @nipoan_cc & @florian_morango, and to the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia for their support.

Hi world 🌎 I recently came back from my 3rd @hariharalaya retreat here in beautiful Siem Reap, and once again, it provided me with some inner peace, some clarity, and some bigger questions to contemplate. Hari is a community and a safe space to ‘come home to yourself’. I’ve many lessons to share from this retreat but first I just wanted to help out by sharing that they have a special 50% discount the next few months!

It’s been a tough year for tourism in Cambodia so I hope this amazing discount helps. $650 for 6 nights of stay, all the delicious food included, unlimited cake and coconuts haha, and a wonderful detox from your phone and laptop. Clearly, im a fan and I can’t recommend it enough. If you have any questions feel free to ask here and I’ll answer to the best of my abilities!

Celebrating two amazing people im so grateful to have in my life @bora_kem @lindapuppies — what an amazing wedding #1 (of many haha). In all of this doom and gloom lately, it’s important to celebrate life that we have. Also finally got to share of my new Leica photos. I have literally 6 months of unedited photos 💀 and I figured these quick phone edits will have to do. by @andrewmam.x

Came a long way. Hell of a year. The @barameyofficial dream lives on. Perseverance through pressure and pain. Eternally grateful to everyone who made this happen, from the fans to the family, to the friends and familiars. Merci Beaucoup. See you tonight Paris 🇫🇷 by @andrewmam.x

I haven’t posted in a long time—life has been a lot lately. In Cambodia, we’ve been doing so much this year, but I’ve only shared bits on IG. The culmination was the Treyvisai Sovannaphum Concert on May 17 at our legendary Olympic Stadium, sold out 15,000 pax. It was the first time in decades for a show this size—and the first ticketed solo Cambodian concert at this scale, ever.

It took everything my amazing team and I had to get across the finish line. I’m proud of it all—the artists, Baramey, VannDa, Cambodia. But our path is difficult because there is no blueprint to copy. No book to follow. We keep walking into the unknown, doing our best to light the way.

Along the way, I trip, I fall, I misjudge, I lash out, I hold impossible standards. I win, I raise a tattered arm to the sky—but I also fail, I retract, and I’m often unkind to myself. It’s a cycle.

These past nine months have been some of the hardest—physically, emotionally, spiritually. It took two months just to feel ready to share again. And this last week, at @hariharalaya in Siem Reap, helped me come home to myself.

Hariharalaya isn’t just a yoga retreat—it’s a digital detox and methodology with deep teachings on stillness, aliveness, play, and tuning yourself. It is so effective at healing people like me. I’m grateful it exists so close to home and would recommend it to anyone. I thank @lokta_joel for this home you’ve built and for your teachings.

This time, I ended my retreat with a barefoot sunrise meditation at Angkor Wat—feeling the earth and ancient stone, reconnecting with where I come from—and where I’m going. This was healing in a way I’ll try to describe with another post, but rest assured, it was 🤯🕉️🥰

My healing isn’t done. This is just a reset to restart. To harness my light. I’m grateful—for life, for everyone at HHL, my retreat mates, and for every moment of stillness (and all the naps 🥰).

More to share soon—but just know, I’m still here. Still human. Still learning, still loving. Please take of yourselves. You deserve to rest too. by @andrewmam.x
