The major shortcoming for the Elantra N to the Type R for performance work is what you can fit under the guards. We needed more tyre so we moved the guards

You’ve seen all of the updates of the car over the last couple of weeks. I can finally announce that for this years @worldtimeattackchallenge I have partnered up with @neotech_global and will be their official driver at WTAC.

After the success of running their Evo-R brake kit at Aus Time Attack it was an amazing opportunity to partner up further to compete together at WTAC. We will be running the Evo-R brake kit along with Neotech’s suspension bushing kit front and rear.

Whenever I work with a company their values have to align with mine. Having used Shockworks coilovers (Neotech manufacture their kits) I have seen their quality first hand for years. After meeting with Jun Myung Lee @neotech_jun and some of the other Neotech staff at WTAC last year it was clear to see why they are the leader in aftermarket suspension and braking systems in Korea and their success expanding globally.

Jun and the team are all car enthusiasts who like me believe that our cars are an extension of us and we all love to ‘Upgrade beyond the original’

As always we’ve had a tremendous amount of support from other people and companies as well. @adro.inc supplied ACN GT1 rear wing. Shockworks supplied upgrading valving and spring rates. @keith4wheels handled the install and alignment of the brakes and suspension. @kirksworks_ for mounting the aero and safety items. @martiniracingproducts for all of the fluids. @cherrytuningperformance for the tuning and performance work and @impossible_ifx for the track support mechanical work, fab and products.

That’s a wrap on WTAC 2026. 🏁

Big weekend for @eleanorsaurtv in the i20 N — within a whisker of a PB before traffic got in the way, and on a much slower tyre. Plenty more in it.

My weekend behind the wheel ended before it started after the S13 crash, so Ellie jumped in the sedan for the final session. Fresh build, teething issues, but it turned laps — that’s a win in itself.

Getting the i30 Sedan N to the grid at all took a stack of late nights from @cherrytuningperformance, @impossible_ifx and @sydneycomposites . Couldn’t have done it without them.

More to come from both cars. See you later this year SMP.

$Grateful. Not how our weekend was expected to go but, this is motorsport. Thank you so much everyone for your love and support, @andrewpriceracing luckily escaped with just an L1 and L2 vertebrae fracture. Could have been so much worse. Andrew wouldn’t let me stay at the hospital with him, instead insisted I get back out and keep driving. I will post a full recap soon, for now we’ll be driving back to Brisbane and taking a breather! 🩷 by @andrewpriceracing$

Comment “Drive” to be sent the full guide

Seat time starts before the engine does.
Most drivers set their seat and hands exactly the way they do on the street, and bring every bad habit with them. Tense through the arms, hands at ten and two, no feel for what the car is doing. Work through it in order instead, because each step changes the next.
Base height first. Eye line through the middle of the windscreen. Your eyes hold a focus point near the horizon and your peripheral vision works down from it, reading track edges, kerbs and where the car sits. Sit too low and you starve that picture for a centre of gravity gain you will never feel.
Then reach. Pedal to the floor, ball of foot, knee still bent. Right heel just in front of the brake so your foot pivots across to the throttle and back.
Then the backrest and column. Slight lean back, wrist on top of the wheel, shoulders still in the seat.
Then hands. Quarter to three, thumbs on the spokes, grip light enough to feel what the front tyres are telling you.
Same order, every car, every session. Save this for your next track day.
