I had an amazing day following the @thetourofbritain today as a guest of @lloyds.bank . Being in the convoy and seeing the crowds, amazing Lincolnshire countryside and of course the break and peloton multiple times was brilliant. Climbing up through the crowds on Michaelgate was unreal. If you ever get the chance, go for it! taken in Lincoln, Lincolnshire by @andrewteanby

Day 15: Arras to Calais - Headwind and showery all day, some miles along canals and some not. And that brings me back to Calais for the ferry tomorrow. It’s been a great trip. The highlights were definitely Luxembourg, Nancy and Dijon. taken in Calais by @andrewteanby

Day 14: Saint-Quentin to Arras - A shorter day with no canals. Lots of WW1 history including cemeteries and a visit to the quarry’s and tunnels under Arras that were used for a 24,000 man attack. Areas’ town hall, belfry and main squares are pretty. taken in Arras, France by @andrewteanby

Day 13: Vitry-le-François to Reims - A day in gravel mode hunting for that “champagne” gravel. Along the canal to Châlons-en-Champagne and then a side quest to see a basilica in a tiny village. Before some decent gravel alongside a railway line and awful gravel in the vine area amongst the vines. Reims cathedral looks great, reminds me of the big Loire valley ones. taken in Reims, France by @andrewteanby

Day 11: Chaumont to Vitry-le-François - A good ride along the canal and through some interesting towns. Highlight was seeing a floating combine harvester obviously. The Italian style square with cathedral in Vitry-le-François is really cool too. taken in Vitry-le-François by @andrewteanby

Day 10: Dijon to Chaumont - A fairly easy ride, initially through farmland with some Simmental cows and then alongside canals. Called in at Langres for lunch and explored that fortified town. Then travelled on to my F1 hotel and explored Chaumont. taken in Langres by @andrewteanby

Day 8: Corre to Dijon - An undulating day, mainly on roads through some good farming country. No open shops for 70 miles so I was melting in the 30 degree heat. Arrived in Dijon and hid in the art museum. taken in Dijon, France by @andrewteanby

Day 6: Luxembourg to Nancy - A flat ride mostly alongside the river Moselle or canal. Called into Metz on the way and also saw 16 arches of a Roman aqueduct. Nancy is fancy, I’ve had a good walk around and learnt about its history before it was part of France. taken in Nancy, France by @andrewteanby
