View From Space’ - BDO’s Spaced Out Dub Remix

Ahead of our first release in 13 years on 23rd Sep our final remix preview is our very own remix and probably our most dubbed out work ever. Led by Garry this dub mix takes its lead from some of classic dub mixes where everything is live running through filters, tape delays, space echoes and a host of hardware. It also features the legends @slyandrobbie

What can you see from space?

Borders disappear. Differences fade. Perspective changes.

Perhaps the most important thing we see is that there is only one precious & fragile Earth.

View From Space’ SHRF’s Port of Spain Remix

‘View From Space’ explores the idea that, from afar, our incredible world appears both breathtakingly beautiful and remarkably small. Just as newspapers can report the same story from different perspectives, each revealing a slightly different narrative, this Remix EP reimagines the same composition through the unique voices of artists from around the world.

Today’s reel features a great club remix by @sheriffmumbles aka SHERIFF aka SHRF from Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago. He’s a wonderful producer, artist, remixer, singer/songwriter and mix engineer and has worked with many of the top Caribbean Soca, Reggae, Dancehall and International artists.

What can you see from space?

Borders disappear. Differences fade. Perspective changes.

Perhaps the most important thing we see is that there is only one precious & fragile Earth.

View From Space’ - VLASTUR Remix

‘View From Space’ explores the idea that, from afar, our incredible world appears both breathtakingly beautiful and remarkably small. Just as newspapers can report the same story from different perspectives, each revealing a slightly different narrative, this Remix EP reimagines the same composition through the unique voices of artists from around the world.

Today’s reel features a fantastic remix from a great friend and previous collaborator @vlasturvlash His trademark electronic, ethno dub treatment takes our track to another level sonically. If you’re not familiar with Vlastur’s work you need to check out a 15 year journey of live techno shows featuring his legendary bass lines to his more downtempo eclectic work especially found on his last album RESET.

Our dear friend and longtime supporter @bobbyfricton played our new single ‘View From Space’ earlier today on the @cerys6music Cerys Matthew’s show on @bbc6music where he is sitting in for her for a few weeks. To listen to the fascinating show with an ‘otherworldly’ twist find the link via our link tree via bombaydub.com - it’s worth listening to the whole show but you can hear our track at around 2 hrs 16 mins. Thanks again BBC! #bombayduborchestra #bbc6music #newmusic #worldmusic by @andrewtmackay

‘View From Space’ Taken from Bombay Dub Orchestra’s fourth album, ‘Radiotron’ (early 2027)

The original version of ‘View From Space’, features the late legendary @slyandrobbie recorded at Anchor Studios in Kingston, Jamaica.

This new EP brings together an international collective of producers and musicians, each offering their own interpretation of the track.
Featuring remixes by @karshkale (India/USA), SHRF @sheriffmumbles (Trinidad), and Vlastur @vlasturvlash (Greece), alongside new mixes by Bombay Dub Orchestra and Delia Derbyshire Appreciation Society @ddasmusic , the EP celebrates the richness of diverse musical perspectives while reminding us that, viewed from space, we all share the same home.

Today’s reel features a future club classic by the legendary producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and musical visionary @karshkale
