First new work from Cape Town in a while – and one of the toughest shoots I’ve ever had. Sand blasting in our faces, winds strong enough for a storm, but the whole team just powered through. No complaints, just pure dedication.

Huge shoutout to Ella and Leroy for making it look effortless despite the conditions. And of course, big thanks to Scott for putting it all together, Tanlyn for the styling, and Chelsey for the makeup – an incredible collab.

All shot on film: Kodak Portra 800 on a Mamiya RZ67, developed by Cape Film Supply. Can’t wait to share more from this day! ✨📸

I love these kinds of shoots. Small crew, big results.

Painting the backdrop myself and shooting in an old, empty office made this one particularly challenging. But with the right team, a lot is possible.

Shot on both film and digital. A welcome change from capturing all the action on track, and another lesson in how to maximise the outcome with minimal production effort.

Kwanele, shot on Portra 800 during one of my all-time favourite photo sessions.

That state you enter when everything just flows, creativity takes over, you’re in awe of the location, the light is perfect and you’re working with an amazing team. Just unmatched.

Music photography is where I come from. And it’s music that has always carried me and my creativity.

Currently back working with my incredible team of over 15 photographers at @winterthurer.musikfestwochen . Seeing their work, their motivation and their commitment to supporting music culture through their voluntary work makes me incredibly proud.

So, to celebrate music photography, here are some shots of one of my favourite bands, @idlesband , who played the festival last year.

So stoked for the next few days (we’re only at 4/12) and for all the photos I’ll get to see, edit and publish.

@winterthurer.musikfestwochen 🫶🏻 Thanks for everything you do for music and its culture! taken in Winterthur, Switzerland by @andrinfretz

Monaco Grand Prix, a special one.

As a child, I drove through the streets of Monaco with my family, my dad pointing out the legendary corners of this iconic circuit. Years later, I finally got to experience it for myself.

Right at the heart of it, capturing the emotions, the people, and the moments that define both the team and a race weekend.

Still doesn’t quite feel real. Just incredibly grateful for the opportunity and the experience. taken in Monaco - Monte Carlo by @andrinfretz
