Stepped in front of the camera for the first time in a while last week. Photographers, you can learn a lot by doing this.

I’ve found myself enjoying shooting work in the studio more and more lately and eager to start sharing what I’ve been up to.

If you’re interested in booking a studio session don’t hesitate to shoot me a message!

Thank you @beh_zod for capturing these, it’s always a blast shooting with you and nerding out on all things photo related! taken in Seattle, Washington by @andvalan

A few months back I picked up a Ricoh R1 and despite the quirks that it has I’ve been loving it. A camera that can take quality/sharp photos and easily fit in any pocket is such a game changer for capturing moments you don’t expect throughout the day. Been trying to have at least this camera on me every time I step outside.

Here are some recent B&W shots taken on the R1.

I spent the 4th of July burning rolls of film instead of fuses. @v.marie.ella and i made a spur of the moment decision to run up to Boom City (on the Tulalip Reservation) to document the festivities/mayhem and it did not disappoint! Here’s a series of some of my favorite shots across three rolls of 35mm film.

Photos from a night lurking around SoDo with my good friend @tim_urpman

The last shot here (of Tim) is pretty overexposed but included it for the hell of it.

A quick yet exciting sunset stop at Mount St. Helen’s last summer. When slide 7 was taken, the sound of my Bronica’s shutter slap startled a bear in the bushes no more than 30ft away from me. Fortunately it was downhill from the side of the road and I flew back into the car in a second, adrenaline pumping as we sped off! taken in Mount St. Helen's by @andvalan
