🌴Palm Springs – California's Desert Oasis β˜€οΈπŸŒ΅ I was lucky enough to spend some time in Palm Springs last week, and it's easy to see why so many people fall in love with this unique desert city. From the stunning mountain backdrop and beautiful hotels to iconic sights like Forever Marilyn, there's plenty to explore while enjoying the year-round sunshine. As cabin crew, I always like to share a few travel tips that can make your journey that little bit easier: ✈️ Flying into the USA? Download the CBP Mobile Passport Control (MPC) app before you travel if you're eligible. It can help you clear US immigration much faster at participating airports, meaning less time queueing and more time enjoying your holiday. ⏱️ Connecting onto a domestic US flight? Make sure you allow plenty of time. Even if your bags are checked through, you'll normally need to clear immigration, collect your luggage, clear customs and recheck your bags before continuing your journey. A longer connection means far less stress! πŸ’§ Stay hydrated! Palm Springs' desert climate is beautiful but incredibly dry. Carry a water bottle and consider packing rehydration saltsβ€”they're a great way to stay refreshed after a day exploring or relaxing by the pool. πŸ’³ Cards are widely accepted, but it's worth carrying a little cash for tips, as it's still appreciated in many bars and restaurants. πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ Palm Springs is also one of the most welcoming LGBT+ destinations in the USA, with a vibrant community, fantastic events and Palm Springs Pride, which takes place every November. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡Ώ Prague – one of Europe's most beautiful city breaks! Last month I finally got to spend a weekend exploring Prague, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the stunning Astronomical Clock to the beautiful Old Town, charming streets and riverside views, there's something to discover around every corner. A few tips if you're planning a visit: πŸ’° Take some cash. While many places accept cards, I found cash was still preferred in quite a few cafés, bars and smaller shops. πŸš– Book an Uber from the airport. It's an easy, reliable and reasonably priced way to get into the city centre without any hassle. 🚢 Bring comfortable shoes! Prague is an incredibly walkable city, and the best way to experience it is simply wandering through its historic streets. You'll stumble across hidden courtyards, fantastic restaurants and amazing viewpoints you might otherwise miss. 🍺 If you enjoy trying local food and drink, Prague is packed with traditional Czech pubs, great restaurants and some of the best-value beer you'll find anywhere in Europe. Whether you're after history, architecture, food, nightlife or just a relaxing weekend away, Prague is a city I'd happily visit again. Have you been to Prague?
