Find me a 10 year old fitting more into a (long) weekend than this.
Friday, went to Tamworth for PSSA (zone effectively) athletics, getting 4th in 800 (he was 2nd all race but came almost to a halt with injury in the last 50 metres) and got a PB in long jump. Saturday we walked all around Sydney to collect C2S bibs and then go to the weekend footy at Belmore. Got on tv briefly during that game. Sunday morning he got interviewed before C2S (no idea by whom, so haven't got the proof sadly) then ran 14km with a smile, despite iffy knees. I encouraged him to walk whenever he needed to, but he refused to walk much, including his fastest ever last km sprint where we would have overtaken around 200 people in the last 500m (I'm not exaggerating). I carried him on my shoulders about half of the 2km walk to meet Matt Bungard at the pub and then almost half of the 2km to the station. He needed it.

Today he was in Coffs harbour for a futsal tournament with his school team that won our local schools comp. His friends at Ben Venue went too for being runners up. Beat them 1st game, won the next two before a thud to earth in the 4th game. 5th was an easy win. Semi final was tense for a while before winning comfortably enough. Final against the team that had put them to the sword earlier. They somehow were leading 2-1 with 2 minutes to go. The whole team were playing incredibly, Cooper in goals was defying logic with some of his saves while Davey was having probably his best ever game. He was EVERYWHERE. We conceded 2 minutes from the end, had 2 more super close chances to score, but ended up in penalties. Davey had been late subbed off so couldn't be involved in the penalties. It went back and forth, both teams having chances to win, with the keepers trading amazing saves. We ended up losing 11-10 (i think, might have been 12-11). My heart was probably going at about 160 haha. There were a lot of tears but the boys were incredibly proud of their efforts and I'm told they've qualified to go to Brisbane for another schools tournament as a result of their efforts. So in summary, 7 games of Futsal today. Crazy stuff by @andy.valente1

Sri Lanka day 1-2
So our flight was not until 1615 on Saturday. We chilled in the airport lounge (thank you new credit card 😍) which meant free drinks and food. Score.
Watched many movies on the flight, didn't sleep a wink, arrived at our hotel about 530am Sydney time. Ouch.
Anyway, got some sleep and woke up for buffet breakfast. Was pretty damn good.
At 1pm our group of 14 (we are working hard to drag down the average age haha, but everyone seems really nice) headed to lunch at some place where I'm sure our guide gets a cut, good on him. Anyway we got wedges, a cocktail, iced coffee and a beer for $25, pretty happy with that!
Went and looked at some VERY depressing fish markets, then to a large catholic church that had a ceiling painting featuring a kangaroo for some reason. Came back to hotel so I could go for the world's sweatiest run then we both went back in the pool. Buffet dinner then early bed by @andy.valente1
