I had only 2 months to prepare. During that time, I learned how to swim in open water, started riding a road bike, and somehow put together three completely different sports. Before that, running was the only discipline I had real experience with.

Honestly, my only goal was to cross the finish line. I was genuinely worried that I wouldn’t even make the time cut.

But race day surprised me.

6:48:04.

To some, it’s just a finishing time. To me, it’s proof that we’re capable of far more than we believe.

This race didn’t just change the way I see endurance sports—it changed the way I see life.

Now I know that most limits exist only in our minds. If I could prepare for an IRONMAN 70.3 in just two months and finish faster than I ever expected, then so much more is possible than we think.

This is only the beginning. 🏊🚴🏃💪 ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅.

🏊🚴🏃 taken in Boise, Idaho by @andy_cobra777

My first long run in years.
Before this — just 5 minutes every morning. Every single day for months. Some said “5 minutes is nothing,” but today’s 7.77 miles prove them wrong.
Long distance isn’t about legs. It’s about the mind. Around the 40-minute mark, my body was begging me to stop. But there comes a point where you stop negotiating with yourself. You just keep going.
My knees ache and my feet are sore — a lesson learned. High mileage requires a serious approach: the right gear, recovery, and discipline.
The dopamine rush at the finish is absolutely worth it.
Now, it’s time to recover, get the right shoes, and keep moving forward. by @andy_cobra777
