This is it✅, what a ride! The last 4 and half years have been nothing but an incredible journey.
Three schools, Iowa Central Community College, Lees-McRae College, Chicago State University.
Three divisions, NJCAA, NCAA D2, NCAA D1. Different people, teammates, opponents, cultures, backgrounds, nationalities met along the way, but one big family. I can only be thankful for the opportunity 🙏🏽!!🎾📚#WeAG#wow#collegetennis#tennis taken in Chicago State University by @andykunaka

🚨 BREAKING: Chicago State’s Andrew Kunaka is entering the coaching market and is actively pursuing Graduate Assistant opportunities, CTN has learned.

Kunaka competed at No. 2 and No. 3 singles for the Cougars this spring and brings proven lineup experience that would make him a strong addition to a coaching staff. by @andykunaka

If you know me, you know how much I love tennis. I just like having fun and enjoy being on the court. Early last year I had a horrible ankle injury and since then I have not for a while have fun being on the court.

My love for tennis kept me on the court with the true definition of “fake till you make it”, but deep down I was in pain and unfortunately was not having fun or enjoying being on the court. Me and the ankle brace had become a dynamic duo, but not anymore.

I am happy to say that this past weekend I was able to enjoy and had fun being on the court regardless of the results. I felt comfortable moving around the court, which is something I have not experienced in a while. I might not have won as many matches as I wanted this season but things could also be worse at the same time, being back on the court competing for me is a win. The season is coming to an end with one more match left before conference tournament, and my days here are numbered. I wish I had another year to fight for the cougars but also grateful for this season.

Special shoutout and thanks to Chicago State through @k_president619 and @grace_e_maxey for giving me the opportunity to use my fifth year to play for Chicago State and D1 tennis. I am glad to have been part of this project that is only going up from here! I probably would not have been able to feel how it is like to have fun on the court again before finishing my college tennis career, if it was not for the people I mentioned above.

As we move in the Easter spirit I would also like to be thankful for the blessing of life and my journey.
We often complain and talk when things go wrong, but forget to acknowledge when things go right and take blessings like waking up everyday to see another day for granted. I am thankful for my journey and everyone who has been part of it. If I had to go back I would not change a thing about how everything has turned out for me. Also a special shoutout to @_brenye and @msashleybabii for helping me with my rehab! Let’s go cougars💚🤍!#Lastride#Lastpush#Wow#Letsgokegs#TellmewhyJustin taken in Chicago State University by @andykunaka
