The first stage has been revealed 💋

The Manumission Motel returns.

Like a doll’s house on acid, the Motel is the centrepiece of Le Weekend MANUMISSION at @528ibiza . A living art installation, reimagined in homage to its original sex positive incarnation.

A bespoke score by one of Manumission’s longest standing collaborators pays tribute to the legendary Alfredo, with musical curation from his son, Jaime Fioritto.

New York strippers played by London’s dance elite. Barcelona drag queens bumping and grinding. Big Beat colliding with Balearic beneath a tobacco beach sky.

So yesterday @pikespresents did its first ever event off island and it was amazing. I have always felt that Pikes is the location and trying to recreate it somewhere else would be difficult so we focus our energy on making what we do at Pikes hotel as magical as possible. Last year we took the Pikes Presents concept to our sister venue 528 and to many of our friends it was the event of the summer. It’s a perfect complement to Pikes where the Pikes magic can be transformed to the garden stage and deliver an old ibiza energy that many of us felt was lost on the island.

The Pikes presents shows have grown a life of their own and they have a Pikes feeling whilst in no way pretending to be Pikes Hotel. So we decided to try and recreate that feeling and energy in @toftemanor. It really worked.

Tofte Manor is special and @labyrinthevents get what we do. I feel everyone who was there understood that this event just fitted perfectly.

Thank you to @defexogram @ccdisco and @layoandbushwacka for that energy start to finish and also to our incredible team. Pikes is in Ibiza and we are not a touring show but yesterday was special. Will we do it again? Yes, on 10 July next year. Will Pikes Presents do any other shows in the UK next year? Absolutely not - protect the magic x by @andymckay_

A return to an era where music and dancing was at the forefront of the party. The energy at our Saturdays opening was truly special, with a real connection between the DJs and the people. We can’t wait to do it all over again for the next 13 weeks. 💫
