Before the month ends, I wanted to post about the fun time in Milwaukee with my mom 2 weeks ago, visiting American Family Field to watch the Guardians take on the Brewers and checking out the Bobblehead Hall of Fame!Everyone in and around the city was so friendly, and the city was remarkably clean. Sharing gratitude and feeling grateful for opportunities to connect with the youth. Back in November, I attended Bellevue Elementary School’s Careers on Display event in which area professionals came together to inform students about their jobs. Rather than telling, I showed children what I do by letting them interview their classmates and taking pictures of the event.Two students in particular, Kali and Stella, took a great interest in what I do and expressed a deep desire to pursue journalism as potential career paths. So they asked if I could return, and I did, helping them take photos and write a story about a recent activity involving their peers involving physics and the fire department. Their names appeared as both the writers and photographers of this story, which appeared on the Register’s front page last week.Before school ended last week, I presented them with special lamented copies they can frame of their front-page article/photospread so they could remember this moment and know that their work does matter and can have an impact.Thank you to their teachers, Kassie Voss and Tiffany Fries, principal Shannon Turner and superintendent Nate Artino for the opportunity. by @andyouriel

Today I got to meet a childhood favorite in Tim Couch, the first quarterback of the 1999 expansion-era Cleveland Browns. He was very cordial, and I appreciate him signing my mini helmet. by @andyouriel
