Today is the birthday of the most talented, caring, hilarious, loving, beautiful man. And the best father a girl could ask for. You should be turning 58 today. Instead you are forever stuck at 55 and forever know me as just a very awkward 16 year old girl. However I know your love for me and our family is eternal and goes beyond our existence of being human. It hurts the same as it did 2 and a half years ago and I know that won’t change. I am still celebrating the life you lived everyday and you will forever impact every choice I make. This video makes me feel so safe every-time I watch it. My dad was an incredible singer though even though he didn’t always make it known. The comfort this video holds is indescribable. My brother killing it on the piano (which he spent quarantine teaching himself), my old dog buster barking to come in, my dad hitting every note of Elton John’s Talking Old Soldiers perfectly and effortlessly, and his pride at the end. I miss you more than I ever thought possible. I love you forever. by @andyroseh
