true luxury is restraint

from Bottega Veneta’s Rome space - and proof that sometimes, the best design move is knowing what not to add

a little old, a little new, and a little unexpected 🤌🏽

this concept pulls from ’70s Italian modernism and collected European interiors

there’s a reason ’70s Italian design is so sought after. designers of the era blurred the line between furniture and art, experimenting with bold forms, unexpected materials and incredible craftsmanship. the pieces were functional, but they also had personality

here, burl wood brings warmth and character, while cooler metals add a modern edge. sculptural forms, pattern and a few slightly eccentric details keep everything feeling collected rather than overly considered

it’s not about recreating the ’70s or sticking to one particular style but rather about borrowing that confidence and playfulness, mixing pieces from different eras so the space feels like it came together naturally over time

swipe for a little ’70s Italian + collected modern inspiration ➡️
