Tomorrow at 2pm is your last chance to see this amazing cast in my directorial debut of The Plot, Like Gravy, Thickens. This has been a beautiful experience for me both as a theatre artist and educator. I am so proud of these kids! Thank you to my mentors @dianegwagner @taitweller and @minnerbickert. I couldn’t have done this without you. by @aneliserodriguez29

Chapter 3: En Washington Heights 🇩🇴🏙🇵🇷

HAPPY CLOSING WEEKEND to In The Heights!!!🍾 It has been QUITE the journey to get where we are today but I could not be more grateful for this experience. Feeling all the right energy emanating from the cast and crew during our read through, selling out all 10 shows in RECORD TIME, and all the glorious hours spent with mi gente in our little barrio, I'm truly going to cherish this production forever and always.

Anyway, THESE PHOTOS! After ending our first weekend of shows, we realized our schedules became EXTREMELY free without having to factor in rehearsal. But we weren’t ready to completely leave the Heights, in fact... we were dying to go! So, on that faithful Monday morning, we piled into the car and were bound for Nueva York!

When we first made the plan, our goal was to find a select number of filming locations from @intheheightsmovie and recreate some shots with our cast. Joining me were @karina.hernn , @victorvictoria__ , and @aneliserodriguez29 ! We took shots at J. Hood Wright Park, (where When You're Home was filmed) JH Grocery, (the bodega) and the 191 St Station Tunnel (Paciencia y Fe!) Along the way we met up with fellow castmate and Washington Heights' own @jordie.be.me to show us around town.

What started off as yet another publicity opportunity evolved into so much more. We laughed with one another, danced down the street, and turned what would have been another boring weekday into the best start of the week we could have asked for. The party lasted long after we made our stops. In fact most of these photos are out of character candids... but that's just a day in the life for what it's like en Washington Heights!

In The Heights plays to a SOLD OUT HOUSE at the @paplayhouse July 25th-August 10th. See you tonight! by @aneliserodriguez29
