Design with me for NYFW-Part 1

The inspiration for this collection comes from 19th century Austria, with a particular focus on the elegance of imperial Vienna.

Fashion of the period was distinguished by its evolving silhouettes, from voluminous skirts and crinolines to structured corsets and elaborate evening gowns. Intricate embroidery, fine jewelry and carefully crafted accessories reflected the remarkable attention to detail that defined the era.

The same refinement can be seen throughout Austrian architecture, from grand façades and palatial interiors to ornamental details, gilding and decorative motifs.

These elements became the starting point for the collection, reinterpreted through a contemporary perspective while preserving the elegance and craftsmanship of the period. by @anellej_

Incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be featured for the second time in The Michigan Daily! It is truly an honour to be part of a publication with such a remarkable history, dating back to 1890, and one that has been giving space to meaningful conversations and emerging voices for more than a century.

This time, our conversation focused on one of the questions I believe the fashion industry can no longer afford to overlook: sustainability and the future of fashion. As the industry continues to evolve, conversations about responsible production, conscious consumption and the impact of our choices on the environment are becoming more important than ever.

I am incredibly grateful to the entire Michigan Daily team for this opportunity, and especially to @bella_casagrand , with whom I had the pleasure and honour of speaking and being interviewed. Thank you for the thoughtful questions, the wonderful conversation and for creating space for such an important topic.

It is always a privilege to share my perspective on fashion, but even more meaningful when that conversation contributes to a broader dialogue about where the industry is heading and how we can shape its future.💙💛
