Our Swan is crossing oceans! 🦢✨

We’re thrilled to share that our short film, ‘Isle of the Golden Swan’, has been officially selected for The Indian Film Festival of New Zealand 2026, where it will have its World Premiere. 🇳🇿

What began as an intimate exploration of love and choice is now ready to meet its first audience, across the seas.

Directed by Anand Ekarshi and produced by Vinoda Kailas, Isle of the Golden Swan stars Prakash Raj, Kavya Ramachandran, Arjun Radhakrishnan and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, with Zarin Shihab in a special appearance.

And bringing its world to life is our wonderful technical team — cinematographer Anend C Chandran, editor Mahesh Bhuvanend, composer Basil CJ, sound designer Renganaath Ravee, production designer Dino Shankar, and costume designer Divya George — each of whom shaped the film with immense care and craft.

Deeply grateful to every artist, technician and friend who became part of this film and made this journey possible. ❤️

9 years ago, on this very day, Âme began in our home kitchen.

Today, we’re getting ready to open the doors to
Âme — The Court : A space that brings Âme, Maeve and Thangam Thari together, all under one roof.

10 months of building, dreaming, and putting our hearts into every little detail.

From our little home kitchen to this.
A full circle we could have only dreamed of.

We can’t wait to finally show you what’s coming 🤍

Love,
Swathy & Anend by @anendcchandran

Some places you visit, and some places you keep coming back to because they feel like home🤍

@windermereretreats is one of those places for us. At least once a year, we find our way back to the mountains, the mist, the incredible food and the comfort of being somewhere that already knows us.

By now, they know my favourite is their bread & butter pudding and not once have they forgotten to make it when they know we’re coming. 🥹🤎 It’s these little things that make a place special.

Simon & Molly’s cabin is our favourite little corner — our home away from home. The kids come prepared with their books, colours and paints, settle into the cabin, and are perfectly happy creating, reading and just being. Then there are the pool days, spotting their favourite reptiles and running around in the mountains.

Slow monsoon days, familiar faces, full hearts and a place that always feels like coming home 🤍

For director Adhvaith Nayar's "Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies," cinematographer Anend C Chandran brings the ALEXA 35 to capture the WWE-inspired wrestling world of Fort Kochi. Released theatrically on January 22, 2026, the action-comedy stars Arjun Ashokan and Roshan Mathew, with a special cameo by Mammootty. Known for his work on "Premam", "Bheeshma Parvam", and "Bougainvillaea", Chandran (@anendcchandran) relied on ALEXA 35 and vintage lenses to achieve a stylized yet raw visual texture.
ㅤ
"Visual philosophy was all about how to stylize the visual texture while maintaining the rawness and truth of the story world. WWE nostalgia, real-world references from my childhood, my world around WWE with my sibling was the starting point. The lenses I used are old lenses which are more than 25 years old, the whole engineering inside the optics is very different to the present lenses. To get the maximum feel and character of the lens, sensor choice plays a big role. What ALEXA 35 did was to hold the optics in its truth, by giving out the best organic imagery from a digital sensor.” Anend C Chandran - Cinematographer.

Anend, whose filmography includes ‘Premam’, ‘Bheeshma Parvam’, and ‘Neram’, approached ‘Chatha Pacha’ with a clear sense of restraint. Wrestling, he felt, exists in a strange sweet spot: exaggerated yet grounded, theatrical yet painfully real.
