One of the livest Monday’s ever! This year’s @soarawards was a tiiiiiiiiiime. Witnessing greatness. Reconnecting with old friends and connecting with new ones.

To the man that supremely protects my nervous system. A gentle soul with a gigantic heart. A heart not just for me and our babies but for everybody. Your kindness, leadership, unconditional love, calming disposition, humor and too many more to name is honestly a dream realized. Everyday.

Our journey hasn’t been perfect. Lots of ups. Lots of downs. But I can’t imagine navigating this life without you. You are my person.

We’ve created some beautiful things together and all I wanna do is continue creating until we fly away. You are the love of my life and the BEST dad to our babies. Our beautiful, talented, gorgeous babies. 🥹

The house we’ve made a home. The memories and traditions we’ve created and carried out. The love we’ve made. The way we play and laugh all day. The way we buss down games of gin rummy. The way we road trip and belt out spirituals because we were THOSE kids studying opera and classical music at the same high school. TOGETHER. The way you still kill those bass parts in “Hehlehlooyuh” and “My Soul’s Been Anchored In The Lord”. Then turn right around and rap Tupac’s “Hit Em Up” like a pro sends me and takes me down LOL!

My debut album ‘92 is available everywhere music lives. One of the most special moments on my album is my reimagining of “The Best Is Yet to Come” by the icon @donaldlawrence !!!!
