So thankful for this incredible human, and our sweet visit today. The man, the myth, the legend, Grandad! He was recently diagnosed with lewy body dementia, but Aunt Gail and Aunt Connie got him moved to a new spot at Parkway villages, with the SWEETEST staff watching over him. He was messing with another old timer, walking down the hall before he realized I was standing there…that let me know, despite the dementia, the smart ass is still in there. 😂 I was proud to see his smile and positive outlook.
Today would have been Grandmom’s 93rd birthday, so it was special to acknowledge her incredible life with him, on a day in history that will never be forgotten. by @ang_stafford

Every human grows and changes over time, and hopefully changes many times throughout life. Growth brings opportunity, setbacks, lessons, and the chance to become more of who we’re meant to be.
God’s plans are far greater than our own, if we’re willing to slow down, and listen. The hard part is letting go of control, and trusting that inner nudge, He places on our hearts, even when we can’t see the full picture.
Life asks us to trust. To love, when things don’t feel lovely. To be honest with one another, and sometimes to love enough to let go when someone else’s path doesn’t align with our own story.
Life is a continuation of what was, into what is becoming. None of us are reinventing the wheel, we’re simply walking through our own version of it. Learning, growing, stumbling, healing, and moving forward. It just is what it is. And sometimes, that’s where peace begins. by @ang_stafford

This is for our Momma, Debo, Mimi… Dad would hollar, “Lulu, where are you?” This still rings loud and proud these days. He more than likely meant…one of these SIX kids needs something, or a diaper changed….or, a kiddo broke an arm playing Tarzan, Angie just had to meet with the principal for blowing a whoopee cushion in class, John and Michael flooded the campground toilets, David was probably being an absolute angel 😝(ya right), Matt just got booted from school for an impressive snot rocket, 🤣 Jk. Or baby sis getting so ticked, she didn’t get those new seven jeans. Mom has always been there to make things happen, and so diligent. These complaints are goofy, and the easier, early parts of life, but this strong, beautiful woman has gone through hell, and fought like it for us kids, and has remained strong!!! You are one beautiful momma, and I’m beyond thankful for you! by @ang_stafford

Dad,
How have we lived a year without your incredible wisdom, your huge smile, your encouragement, your strength and the way you looked in our eyes with intention when you asked how we were doing? Your grace and the way you loved folks you knew and had just met was unmatched. Thank you for showing us how to be a light in a world that can seem dark at times. Thank you for showing us how to love the ones who may feel unloveable. Thank you for believing in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. You were an incredible father to us, and left us with tools to get through life no matter the storm. Thank you. Thank you for showing us how to love, no matter what. You are so missed, but you left an imprint on all the lives who knew you, and your light continues to shine Dad! by @ang_stafford

Georgia Fern…how are you 12 years old today?! The way time flys really does blow my mind, but more than anything, I’m so stinken proud to be your momma! You were born with a unique strength, you’re wildly creativity, a total beauty (with your golden curls), you’re sensitive and hilarious! What a memorable weekend Georgia Fern and I had with some of our incredible Louisiana kinfolks. It was next level on adventure, firsts, giggles, adrenaline, and staple surgery on site after a hawg hit. Unbelievable! Love y’all. by @ang_stafford

Happy Birthday to our real life Barbie, our Aubs! She radiates love, a tender, loyal, gentle and deep love. Her laughter and goofy impersonations are a fave. She’s the real deal, a staple in my life. We all decided to wear a blond wig last night, trying our best to represent our beautiful friend…needless to say, our dark hair and 2ft nubs we call legs didn’t do our friend justice, but we tried. 😝 Thank you for the incredible food, drinks and space to celebrate @cachearkansas It was an amazing experience! by @ang_stafford
