Tomorrow is election day and I still have no clue, if I will vote at all and whom to vote for. There are several parties I would never be voting for, but the rest on offer is underwhelming. None of them have anything on offer that is worth voting for. They all have had their hand in running Berlin in the past 15 years, yet none of them have managed to solve the simple issue of rubbish, just to name one basic thing. Which btw is closely related to the issue of rodents that pay home visits and share the sidewalk in my neighbourhood. Instead they discuss road blocks. In a city where you absolutely do not need a car, because public transport takes you to every corner of the city way faster. Every few minutes. There is a niche party that talks about property, when people struggle to pay rent (or other bills). Where is the money for property supposed to come from? What planet are these people living on? And who actually makes sure that the basics of running a city are first ticked off the to do list? Because currently the position seems unoccupied. Since at least 2011, though things have gotten worse. If the bins are overflowing with rubbish 5 minutes after the passing of the rubbish truck, sth is not working out. Not even mentioning the illegal dumping of furniture etc. It doesn't need rocket science to solve this. Just the will to do it.

Another one from the Canadian resistance army...yup, always Lake Ontario to me. I used to live a short walk away from it about 4 decades ago in Etobikoke (the summer of the G7 summit)

I know it's AI, but I like when anger and frustration are turned into sth else. And this is way better than Trump as Jesus. And having lived and worked in Canada for a while, I'm obviously siding with my temporary former home...😂

RIP Loriot 15 years ago August 22, 2011 This is possibly his most famous one, but he was the one who made me laugh throughout my entire youth. No one like him and of course the irreplaceable Evelyn Hamann...

A different view of this mornings rescue. 40m above ground. From this angle you can see more clearly how close the fire was and the distance between her and the firefighter. It looks like the firefighter explained to her, how best to do it. She jumped pretty quickly...very courageous. taken in Berlin, Deutschland by @angara1968

This morning in Berlin. Firefighters rescue a woman, trapped in her flat on the 12th floor. There were still 2 floors between her and the firefighter... glad it ended well! Apparently 160 firefighters tended to the fire in the appartment below hers. Her place was so hot, that her life was in immediate danger. It caught fire shortly after. She and the firefighter were slightly injured. In a different video it can be seen that she banged her head on the way down. taken in Berlin, Deutschland by @angara1968
