I still can’t come to believe that I was awarded top twelve in junior at @yagp finals!! I would have never expected for this to happen, and I am truly grateful for this. If you would have told me last year that this would have happened, I would have thought you were delusional. I’m so glad that my hard work all this year paid off!!

I’m an especially thankful for my teachers Ms. @senglert33 and my mom @ladayanita23_ for all the training and coaching, and the staff at @longbeachballet!! And thank you @yagp for creating this platform for dancers all@around the globe to recieve opportunities from huge companies!!

Yay!!! 🥳🎉 by @angela_carter_13

Thank you so much to Mrs. Larissa and the entire behind the scenes @yagp team. I truly appreciate what you do for young dancers, and all the opportunities offered. I have grown so much throughout my journey with YAGP, and I am so thankful for everything. YAGP is not just a competition, it’s a platform where dancers can grow, get opportunities from top ballet schools, and make friends. Thank you YAGP 💖💖💖

I would also like to thank my teachers from @longbeachballetacademy , especially Mrs. @senglert33 and my mom @ladayanita23_ . You have done so much for me. 💕

Last night was nothing short of unforgettable. ❤️🩰

It was the grand finale of an incredible two-week Summer Intensive hosted by Southland Ballet Academy, and what an amazing journey it has been for Angela.

During these two weeks, Angela had the privilege of learning from some of the most respected teachers and mentors in the ballet world. Every correction, every detail, every piece of advice, and every word of encouragement has been received with gratitude and will become part of her growth as a young dancer.

A heartfelt thank you to this incredible faculty for sharing your knowledge and inspiring the next generation:

✨ Misha Tchoupakov – Former Dancer, Bolshoi Ballet; Assistant Professor of Ballet, UNCSA
✨ Iain Mackay – Artistic DIrector, Royal Ballet School, UK
✨ Larissa Saveliev – Founder & Artistic Director, YAGP
✨ Gennadi Saveliev – Former Soloist, American Ballet Theatre; Co-Founder, YAGP
✨ Pascal Molat – Associate Director, San Francisco Ballet Trainee Program
✨ Marina Surgan – Master Ballet Teacher & Coaching Instructor
✨ Haruko Kawanishi – YAGP Japan Representative

We are also incredibly grateful to Salwa Rizkalla and the entire Southland Ballet Academy team for organizing such an outstanding program. Having access to this level of training, knowledge, and mentorship all in one place is truly priceless.

And what a way to end the intensive...

At the 17th Annual Gala of the Stars,
Angela had the opportunity to perform her very first fouettés on stage as part of Act I and, even more incredibly, to share the stage in Kitri Act III with extraordinary professional dancers from some of the world's most prestigious ballet companies.

Watching our recently turned 13-year-old be the youngest dancer on stage alongside such accomplished artists made us incredibly proud.
She gave everything she had and embraced every moment of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Thank you, Salwa Rizkalla, for creating such an incredible event and for believing in young dancers.

Thank you, as always, Larissa Saveliev and YAGP, for your continued trust and for opening doors that inspire the next generation of dancers. taken in Segerstrom Center for the Arts by @angela_carter_13
