A little Hocus Pocus and a whole lot of homemade magic. 🧙‍♀️✨

Our youngest was on brownie duty, the floating witch hats and candles set the mood in the dining room, and Hocus Pocus made it a family movie night. 🎃🍫

I love making the holidays feel special, even if we’re just staying home. That proud little brownie smile? That’s the magic right there. 🧡

What’s your family’s must watch Halloween movie?

Anyone else turn “a little Halloween decorating” into a whole dining room transformation? 🙋🏼‍♀️🎃

We took it up a notch with vintage paper chains, festive flags, witch hats, floating candles, and a few bats, because even dinner deserves a little magic. 🕯️🦇

And who ya gonna call when it’s time for a good party? Your friends and family, of course! 👻

I’m all about making holiday memories. If it takes a little extra time to create something that makes everyone smile… so what? These are the moments I hope my kids remember. 🧡

Are you team “just a pumpkin” or team “the whole house is haunted”? 😂 🧙🎃

Welcome to our home, in a flash. 🏡✨

Just a quick glimpse into a place that brings me so much joy.

It’s funny how a home can almost have a spirit of its own, a spirit of love, opportunity, creativity, and all that life has to offer happens within its walls.

I’ve always believed there’s something special about creating a home that feels like you. Not perfect. Not necessarily finished. Just collected, loved, lived in, and filled with the things and people that matter.

So, welcome to ours. 🤍

Hello to all my fellow ladies who would rather upcycle, reuse, and restore a good solid wood piece of furniture than buy something brand new. 🙋🏼‍♀️

And guess what? There is absolutely NO shame in driving 45 minutes, using half a tank of gas, and making your husband question all of his life choices while trying to strap your latest Facebook Marketplace find into the back of the car. 😂

It’s all part of the joy of the hunt.

Some of my absolute favorite pieces have come from the strangest places, and sometimes for the best prices.

And let’s not underestimate the very important life skill of knowing how to barter on Facebook Marketplace. 😉

Give me good bones, solid wood, and a little potential, and I’m probably bringing it home. 🤎

Like so many of you, I’ve thought a lot about Dolly Parton over the last few days and the little pieces of wisdom she’s shared through her songs and interviews. One thing I’ve always loved about her is her willingness to take a chance and keep moving forward.

Working on our homes and restoring old furniture has taught me something similar: it doesn’t have to be perfect to be worth doing.

As I’m touching up this vanity after our bathroom remodel, I can see every little nick and imperfection left behind from construction and tile installation. I knew when I painted it that it probably wouldn’t ever look factory-new or showroom perfect, but that was never really the goal.

The goal was to take something we already had, see its potential, and make it beautiful again.

So I’ll touch up the paint, smooth out the imperfections, and add several new coats of clear sealer to protect it. It’s not the glamorous part of a renovation. It’s the nitty-gritty—the part that usually doesn’t make the highlight reel.

But maybe that’s where the best lesson is.

Restoring something is about meeting it exactly where it is and taking it toward what it could be, even if you only get there one little step at a time. 🤍

And sometimes, you just have to take the chance, pick up the paintbrush, and start.#dıy #somethingblue #bathroom #restoration#dollyparton by @angelaantiques

A little about me 🤍

I love my family, beautiful things, and creating a home that feels well lived in and loved.

I’m drawn to things with potential, old furniture, antiques, forgotten pieces, and spaces that just need a little vision. I love restoring, repurposing, and making things beautiful and useful again.

Here are a few of my favorite things… 🤍 by @angelaantiques

I put this bathroom on a vision board before it ever existed. 🤍

I saved the inspiration, chose the tile, imagined the finishes, and slowly started putting together a bathroom that felt like me.

And now I get to walk into the space I once only had pictures and ideas for.

There were decisions, delays, changes and definitely a few stressful moments along the way, but seeing the finished room reminds me why I love creating a vision before starting a project.

Sometimes a vision board is more than pretty pictures.

It’s a reminder that the things we imagine for our homes and our lives can slowly become something real. ✨#bathroominspo #bathroominspiration #bathroomdecor #homeimprovement by @angelaantiques

There are a million reasons we follow someone, sometimes it’s simply because we see a little bit of ourselves in them. 🤍

So here are a few things that make me, me:

🧠 I was Diagnosed with dyslexia in 3rd grade. I’m a visual thinker, planner, and organizer.

📚 I’m also raising a child with dyslexia and have navigated both public and private education while advocating for her needs.

📺 I love a good binge-watch: House of the Dragon, Silo, and Peaky Blinders are favorites.

❤️ Former foster parent turned adoptive mom to two amazing boys.

🌿 Currently navigating hormones, hair loss, weight, and learning how to take better care of my health.

✈️ Married to an aircraft technician — yes, we have standby flight benefits. No, we definitely don’t use them enough. 😂

Just a few pieces of my life beyond the squares.

For our bathroom, the answer was simple.

I wanted it to feel calm. Bright. Timeless. A place where we could slow down at the beginning and end of each day.

From the polished chrome fixtures to the blue vanity, classic subway tile, natural stone, and little vintage-inspired details, every decision was made with that feeling in mind.

I’ve learned that beautiful homes aren’t created by following every new trend. They’re created by choosing pieces you genuinely love and allowing your home to evolve over time.

This remodel certainly wasn’t the easiest project we’ve taken on, but looking at it now, I’m reminded that creating a home is never about perfection.

It’s about creating a place that brings you peace every time you walk through the door.

And to me… that’s what makes a house feel like home. 🏠 ❤️. @zunigas_construction_services if your local looking for someone to help with your next project. These are your guys!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July! ❤️🤍💙
This year felt a little different as we celebrated 250 years of our country’s history. It gave me a chance to reflect on the things I’m most grateful for.
I’m thankful for my family, for the freedom to practice my faith, and for the opportunity to build a life and make choices that align with what matters most to us.
The older I get, the more I appreciate the freedoms and opportunities we have. The joys of being an American is we can continue working toward making our communities and our country a better place.
My hope is that we continue building a nation that cares for both our current generation and the generations that follow. Here’s to the next 250 years—may they be filled with hope, kindness, opportunity, and love.
