China returned to her original herd this week after eight years away… and apparently, horses don’t forget. 🤍

Her integration was incredibly easy, and she’s already reconnected with her old bestie, Summer. She’s eating, drinking, lying down to sleep, and settling back into this herd like she never left.

And apparently she didn’t forget the trails either.

After spending a few days settling in, we headed out for a ride and China knew exactly where she was going. She remembered every turn along the way. Watching her look around and take in land she hasn’t seen in eight years was so special — she was SO joyful.

This move was a difficult decision. As Dustin and I start thinking ahead, I knew I needed to make the responsible choice. Having her farther away is going to be hard, and I already miss having her close by. Of course, I’ll still be making regular trips up to spend time with her. But knowing she gets to spend her days with old friends, with so much space and freedom, makes that distance a little easier.

I’m incredibly grateful for the years we’ve spent together in the Lower Mainland and for all of the people, horses, experiences and adventures that were part of that chapter of our lives. There’s something really special about watching her step into this next one by returning to a place — and friends — she clearly hasn’t forgotten. ❤️ taken in Kelowna, British Columbia by @angelamgee

A last-minute bridal shower I wasn’t expecting, and it was such a sweet surprise. 🥹🤍

An intimate group of family and friends at Chapter Estates, lots of love, laughter, and a beautiful afternoon together. I’m feeling very lucky to have such wonderful people around me as we head into these final few weeks before the wedding.

A huge thank you to Auntie Jenny and Erin for putting this together and making me feel so celebrated.

2025, you were full.
New places, time by the ocean, and deepening my craft.
Working a lot.
Learning (still) how to better balance it all.
Runs with my mom. A few rides on my pony.
Saying goodbye to my granma.
And saying yes to a lifetime with my best friend 🤍
Life is beautiful in all of it — the joy, the grief, the unknowns.
