This is our neighbor’s chicken. She is obviously picked on by the flock and has been hanging out in our yard almost every day for over a year.

We named her Heather (the name we give all Buffs) and feed her old dog food and scraps. Just last week she started laying in our old coop. Today I ate her eggs and they are the richest I’ve ever tasted. Must be all the dog food finally catching up.

I really loving having chickens that I don’t have to own. by @angelasbeestuff

I’m not really a hippie. I just post like one. Fermenting half gallons of snap peas, beets, cabbage (all with dill and garlic), onions in beet kvass, and more cabbage. All made possible by the last two weeks of @cr_shively_farm CSA #fermenting #shivelycsa #guthealth #vegetables by @angelasbeestuff

I just got out of the shower and this is what I see staring right at me through the window.
So yup, I guess that means I’ve still got it! #peepingtom #turkey #courting #granddisplay by @angelasbeestuff

Tomorrow is Easter and 4/20. I don’t do the weed, but AI is helping me make commemorative pictures anyway.
Enjoy your totally baked hams, everyone.

Had some unexpected extra time and a break in the weather. Jumped on the opportunity to handle some bees.

Now I understand why people do so much social media posting from their cars. The light in here is amazing!
