It’s for them, always. 2 years ago I was obese, sedentary & miserable. 5 years ago I was an active alcoholic (don’t chat as much about this but I should), I was masking a lot of feelings & trauma. Fast forward, my husband and kids got me out a very dark place, I found sport, running & triathlon (as much as I moan about it) and I’ve never looked back since #alcoholic #sobriety #soberjourney #womenintriathlon #strongmums by @angelina.i.daly

“That was horrible” with the biggest smile on my face. I’m a walking oxymoron 😂 11 second PB on my 750m time trial with the best tri club @ayrodynamictri I had a wobble in the water and was coached through it which I am so grateful for. 11 seconds maybe doesn’t seem a lot but this is massive for me, it was 2 weeks of a difference, 4 turns as opposed to a straight line swim & I had a panic but still managed to get out that water with a smile on my face. I got an age group 3rd 🥉place in my first sprint tri ever, after DNFing my first 70.3 (well, first ever tri at all haha). I actually wasn’t going to share this because somehow I kind of felt a bit embarrassed. Maybe cause I DNF’d my first, I don’t know. But, anyway, I saw @kjs_excellent_adventure recent reel about it and thought IMMA SHARE MY WIN!! So, yeah, age group 3rd place on the podium for me.
