Since I was a young dancer, @somosninosdance, was my dream 💚 This is about sharing in the joy of life, the joy of working hard, the joy of community and the joy of dance!

Sometimes representation feels like a big task, hoping for a seat at “the” table, in a country with such beautiful diversity. This is a reminder that just by being, you are representing! We can create the reality we wish to see in the world. Simply by existing, you’re reflecting the light that lives within you and sharing the culture, spirituality, religion, etc etc that you believe and are.

My dream is to create a space where Latin/Hispanic people feel united in the name of dance and joy, welcome to all! Where we can share our culture and the beauty of moving our bodies to push, to grow and to feel!

Thank you to every single person who has supported this dream of mine, mi esposo, mi ama y apa, mis hermanos, mis abuelitos, mi familia y amistades, todos los bailables para la Virgencita de Guadalupe, las familias de SOMOS y Los Niños Primero, Elite Studios, ArtsATL, KSU Dance Dept., Studio 23, Alpharetta Dance Theatre, Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernandez, and all those who write about the community and arts helping to share our dreams with others, and to SOOO many more!!!

Above all, thank you God for placing this seed on my heart and for giving me the opportunity to learn different techniques of dance to be able to share my knowledge with the future generations — help me to stay hungry to learn and to share your vision and love with others. 🫂

A year ago at our welcome party!!! We hosted a classic welcome party with a dj then we had a super special tradition of a "Callejoneada | Estudiantina", where a local band takes us around the city, singing and dancing!!!

THE most special start to celebrating with all of our people in San Luis Potosí, México - a time I will hold so close to my heart, para siempre.

<3 i love our family so much and literally want to relive this so much!

Inviting the Lord into every aspect of our lives as we labor, leisure and love!!!

I find myself getting rly complacent or desiring comfort; and I’m trying to remind myself to seek the Lord in those moments! To ask Him to help me find the joy in working hard and enjoying the process, for He is the only one that can provide the joy of any promise!

God is good and places desires, dreams and goals on our hearts for a reason. Continuously learning to push myself to accomplish those dreams while staying clear on my own intentions and making sure our good friend, God, is invited and aligned with them too.
